Odaily reported that, according to monitoring by on-chain analyst Yu Jin, a whale that recently shorted ETH continued to increase its short exposure after ETH rebounded. The whale borrowed 9,000 ETH from Aave and transferred the ETH to Binance, then withdrew 16.37 million USDT from the exchange.

Based on the figures disclosed by Yu Jin, the whale is currently short 44,000 ETH in total. The position is valued at $78.89 million, with an average short price of $1,702. Following the rebound in ETH, the position is now showing an unrealized loss of $3.08 million.

The monitored on-chain activity centers on three steps: borrowing ETH from Aave, moving the ETH to Binance, and withdrawing USDT afterward. The reported data indicates that the whale is still maintaining and expanding a large ETH short position.
