Entry: buying the top on June 22

The storage sector printed a fresh high on June 22. The whale bought SKHX at an average price of around $1,909, near the top. A sharp drop the next day prompted additional purchases between $1,685 and $1,775.

After those two rounds of buying, the address held 558.75 units of SKHX. Total invested capital came to about $1.012 million, and the blended average entry price worked out to $1,810.43. From there, SKHX kept sliding. The whale made no further adjustments to the position.

Exit: closing everything at $902.6

On July 29 at 12:00, the whale submitted a "reduce-only" market order and exited the entire position at $902.6, described as a valley. That price was not far from the $879.4 low printed about an hour later.

The round produced a net loss of roughly $557,000; the recorded loss was about $507,300. From the $1,909 chase to the $902 sell, the position was cut nearly in half.

Missed rebound

The exit marked the start of the rebound. SKHX now trades at $1,169.4, up 29.6% from the whale's average sell price and roughly 33% above the $879.4 low. Early on August 14, it climbed to $1,216.5.

Had the whale held, the loss would have been about $175,400 smaller. The address has not bought back SKHX and has not returned to trading.
