WhiteBIT founder and CEO Volodymyr Nosov said the exchange aims to make blockchain technology more accessible and more widely adopted by offering practical and easy-to-use digital asset solutions. He said Lightning support makes Bitcoin faster and more useful for topping up accounts, sending and receiving funds, and spending BTC in more real-world settings.

The exchange said the rollout supports faster Bitcoin payment rails for remittances, exchange fund transfers, merchant QR-code payments, and interoperability with wallets and apps that support the Lightning Network.
