World launched its fully onchain prediction market on July 1 on Solana, bringing direct access to the product inside the Phantom wallet. The rollout starts with short-duration Bitcoin price markets and markets tied to the 2026 FIFA Men’s World Cup.
According to the company, users do not need to install another app or create a separate wallet to use the service. Funds stay in a user’s wallet until that user chooses to enter a market. World said every trade, position, and settlement takes place onchain, so participants interact with Solana liquidity rather than a custodial setup.
CASH selected as the settlement stablecoin
World said it chose CASH as the stablecoin used for settlement. In the announcement, the company said CASH operates natively on Solana and enables automatic redemption of winning positions. That design ties the payout process directly to onchain market activity.
Phantom Product Manager for Money Movement Will McComb said prediction markets rely on fast, low-cost settlement, and that CASH fits those requirements while helping bring fully onchain markets to Phantom users. Pedro Miranda, Head of Consumer at the Solana Foundation, said prediction markets are well suited to Solana’s performance profile and pointed to World’s use of real-time markets and onchain settlement.
Chainlink handles market data and outcome resolution
World also named Chainlink as its primary oracle infrastructure partner. The company said it uses Chainlink Data Streams and the Chainlink Runtime Environment to supply market data and resolve market outcomes onchain.
World said this model replaces older oracle approaches that rely on slower, human-controlled resolutions. The stated goal is immediate market settlement through decentralized infrastructure. Chainlink Labs Chief Business Officer Johann Eid said the integration points to a wider move toward decentralized oracle networks in prediction markets and said the partnership supports rapid market resolution as usage grows.
Expansion planned across more market categories in July
The launch begins with crypto and football markets, but World said it plans to add more categories in the coming weeks. The list includes sports, geopolitics, macroeconomics, and cryptocurrency markets.
The company also said the Phantom integration is the first in a series of frontend distribution partnerships planned across traditional fintech and crypto platforms during July.
