WSJ: Anthropic May Show Investors a More Than $30 Trillion Revenue Opportunity in IPO Filing

The Wall Street Journal reported that Anthropic expects to tell investors in its upcoming IPO materials that its total addressable market exceeds $30 trillion, topping the $28.5 trillion figure SpaceX disclosed earlier. The estimate is based largely on the full range of work that AI models could eventually perform. Anthropic’s second-quarter revenue rose to $11.6 billion, according to the report. FactSet data showed that 191 technology companies in the S&P 1500 generated about $2.4 trillion in revenue last year. People familiar with the matter also said Anthropic could seek to raise as much as $100 billion in the IPO and aim for a valuation around $2 trillion, though the plans are still under discussion and the numbers could change. The company is expected to release IPO financial filings in the coming weeks and could list as soon as September or early October this year.
