WuBlockchain, citing RootData, reported that 61 crypto venture deals were publicly disclosed in September 2026. That was down 1.6% from 62 deals in August 2026 and down 35.1% from 94 deals in September 2025.
By sector, the September mix was led by DeFi at about 22.6% and CeFi at about 19.4%. RWA/DePIN accounted for about 14.5%, AI for about 12.9%, Tool/Wallet for about 3.2%, and Privacy for about 1.6%.
Disclosed funding reached $1.269 billion in September
Total disclosed crypto VC funding in September 2026 came to about $1.269 billion. That was up 71.1% from $742 million in August 2026, but down 79.2% from $6.096 billion in September 2025.
WuBlockchain noted that projects with undisclosed deal sizes were counted in the number of deals but not in the funding total. It also said not every financing round is disclosed in the same month it closes, so the figures may be revised later.
Largest disclosed rounds and transactions
Polymarket
Prediction market platform Polymarket raised a new round in early September 2026 led by 1789 Capital, a venture firm where Donald Trump Jr. is a partner. The round valued the company at $21 billion post-money, up about 40% from roughly $15 billion in the previous round. 1789 Capital had already invested about $200 million before this deal, bringing its total capital injection to about $500 million.
Félix
WhatsApp remittance platform Félix, which serves Latin American immigrants in the United States, completed a combined $200 million Series B financing. The company said it will use the capital to expand stablecoin-settled cross-border remittances into lending and savings.
Andreessen Horowitz led an $87 million equity investment, with QED Investors, Castle Island Ventures, Switch Ventures, Contour Venture Partners, and Endeavor Catalyst also participating. General Catalyst’s Customer Value Fund separately provided a $113 million credit facility. Users initiate transfers inside WhatsApp, with USDC used for settlement in the background and recipients receiving local fiat currency.
Jeeves
Enterprise stablecoin banking platform Jeeves raised $110 million in Series C funding led by CoinFund. Participants included AllianceBernstein, Andreessen Horowitz, Coinbase Ventures, CRV, GIC, ParaFi, Vista, Wintermute, and Y Combinator.
The company said the proceeds will go toward stablecoin wallet infrastructure. At present, about 50% to 60% of its international payments are settled through stablecoins including USDC and EURC.
Payward / Kraken
Nasdaq Ventures made a $100 million strategic investment in Payward, the parent company of crypto exchange Kraken, valuing it at $21 billion.
The investment extends a partnership announced in March. Under that arrangement, Kraken will distribute RWA equities tied to Nasdaq-listed companies on its own platform, and the two sides plan to launch the related market infrastructure in the second quarter of 2027.
MoonPay / North Capital
MoonPay agreed to acquire U.S. private market infrastructure platform North Capital in an all-stock transaction valued at more than $60 million. The deal is not a traditional cash financing round and remains subject to regulatory approval.
Once completed, North Capital will become a wholly owned subsidiary of MoonPay. It will bring SEC-registered broker-dealer, alternative trading system, transfer agent, and investment adviser businesses to support RWA and on-chain capital markets.
Kaiko
Blockchain market data provider Kaiko raised $57 million in a new financing led by S&P Global, expanding its Series B total to $110 million.
Other investors included Coinbase Ventures, Nasdaq Ventures, BNP Paribas, Bpifrance, Broadridge, DRW, Royal Bank of Canada, and Susquehanna. The company said the funds will be used to strengthen on-chain market data, indices, and data infrastructure, and to work with S&P Global on digital asset indices.
World Assets
The World Foundation said its subsidiary World Assets, Ltd. completed $49 million in over-the-counter sales of WLD over the past month. All tokens sold are subject to a one-year lock-up.
Part of the transactions has already settled, and delivery and settlement for the remaining WLD were expected to be completed during the week of the announcement.
USD.AI
USD.AI said on Sept. 15, 2026 that it had secured a $40 million revolving stablecoin debt facility from crypto-native asset manager K3 Capital. The facility is collateralized by sUSDai and can be drawn, repaid, and reused to support new product launches.
USD.AI is developed by Permian Labs. The loan has a term of about three years and amortizes monthly. The facility followed an earlier $100 million stablecoin debt financing provided by Bullish.
HIFI
Stablecoin infrastructure company HIFI said on Sept. 24, 2026 that it had completed a $37 million Series A round led by Left Lane Capital. Managing Partner Matthew Miller joined the board.
The company said the proceeds will be used to add licenses, expand teams in New York and overseas, and broaden its product line from stablecoin payments into card issuance and RWA capital markets. HIFI currently serves more than 10,000 businesses and 200,000 end users across about 87 countries, and it has participated in a DTCC repo pilot.
Latitude
Cross-border stablecoin payments infrastructure company Latitude said on Sept. 9, 2026 that it had raised $35 million in Series A funding led by Oak HC/FT, with participation from NEA, Coinbase Ventures, Lightspeed Faction, and OpenFX.
The round followed an $8 million seed round completed earlier this year, bringing total funding to $43 million. Latitude connects stablecoin settlement to local bank accounts and mobile wallets, allowing recipients to receive fiat without holding a crypto wallet.
