XRPL Korea announced on Oct. 6 that XRP Seoul 2026, which it described as Asia’s largest XRP conference, has concluded. The event was held on Oct. 3 at the Grand Hyatt Seoul in Yongsan, Seoul, and drew more than 5,000 attendees. It took place during Korea Blockchain Week 2026 with Upbit, with attendance rising sharply from roughly 3,000 people at last year’s event. Attendees entered the venue using NFT tickets issued on the XRP Ledger.

Ripple led sponsorship lineup backed by 18 companies
The conference was hosted by XRPL Korea, with Ripple serving as title sponsor. A total of 18 South Korean and global companies backed the event. Doppler Finance and Kweather joined as platinum sponsors.
Other sponsors were t54 Labs, Flare, Tria, Datavault AI, Evernorth, Variational, SOIL, Squid, Biconomy, Girin Wallet, Surf AI, RiskX, Firelight, Creder, Axelar, and RedStone.
Speaker roster included Ripple executives, Robinhood and Korean financial institutions
Several leading figures from the XRP ecosystem took the stage. Ripple President Monica Long led the company’s executive lineup, which also included Senior Director of Ecosystem Growth Christina Chan and Senior Director of Engineering Ayo Akinyele.
Other speakers from global finance and blockchain included Robinhood Senior Vice President Johann Kerbrat, Evernorth Chief Executive Officer Asheesh Birla, and SC Ventures Executive Director Alex Toh. Representatives from South Korean financial institutions also joined, including Woori Bank, Kakao Bank, K Bank, Kyobo Securities, Meritz Securities, and JB Bank, bringing the total speaker count to about 40.
Ripple outlined credit pilot while XRPL roadmap added new features
In a fireside chat with Chan, Long said Ripple is running a credit pilot and is targeting a formal launch next year. She said the project will use XRP as collateral to finance part of customers’ payment flows.
Later, Akinyele used his keynote to introduce several features planned for the XRP Ledger. They included confidential transfers powered by zero-knowledge proof technology and dedicated infrastructure for AI agents.
XRP Asia launched as a Singapore-based independent group
The conference also featured the announcement of XRP Asia. The new organization is an independent group supported by Ripple and the XRP Ledger Foundation and is headquartered in Singapore. It will support developer education, hackathons, and startup funding.
XRP Asia President Sabrina Tachdjian outlined the plan, which includes support for existing communities such as XRPL Korea and XRPL Japan, while also building new communities across the Asia-Pacific region.
Sessions covered weather data, agent economies and digital banking strategy
Sponsors later delivered themed presentations. In the Kweather session, Wellbian Labs Chief Executive Officer Sunghwan Kim discussed new opportunities in the weather data business. t54 Labs founder Chandler Fang spoke about the agent economy on XRPL, while Flare co-founder Hugo Philion examined how XRP could become programmable capital.
Datavault AI Chief Executive Officer Nathaniel T. Bradley and Tria Chief Strategy Officer John Lilic presented on a tokenized asset operating system and Tria’s new digital banking strategy for XRP, respectively.

Panels focused on tokenized deposits, stablecoins and real-world assets
Several panel discussions looked at how financial institutions could apply tokenized deposits, stablecoins, and real-world asset tokenization. In one session featuring Ripple, K Bank, Kyobo Securities, JB Bank, and Woori Bank, speakers discussed how blockchain technology could be introduced into cross-border payments and deposit businesses.
In the stablecoin session, Kakao Bank’s Leo Lee introduced the bank’s plan to integrate basic digital asset services into its core banking business from 2027. In the tokenization session, Samuel Shim, Global Head of Digital Assets at Meritz Securities, said the KRW stablecoin market needs a clearer regulatory framework to grow.
Other panel discussions covered XRP utility and tokenized assets with participants from Evernorth, Flare, SOIL, and Firelight, as well as on-chain financial infrastructure, real-world XRPL use cases, and growth strategies for the XRP ecosystem.
Robinhood discussed tokenized stocks as sponsors ran interactive booths
In a session titled “The Next Wave of On-Chain Innovation,” Robinhood shared its view on tokenized stocks. Kerbrat said 70% of the company’s trading volume comes from weekends and nighttime hours, and said round-the-clock trading through tokenized stocks represents “an extraordinary shift.” He added that blockchain can address settlement delays in traditional finance and improve trading infrastructure.
In the exhibition area, sponsors ran interactive booth programs and met with attendees. According to the organizer, these activities gave participants a chance to experience services across the XRPL ecosystem outside the conference agenda and drew a strong response.
N Seoul Tower lit up as organizer pointed to next steps
That night, N Seoul Tower was illuminated to mark the conference. Light projections on the tower displayed the XRP logo along with the brand logos of Kweather, Doppler Finance, Datavault AI, and Evernorth.
A representative of XRPL Korea said, “Following last year’s attendance of around 3,000, more than 5,000 community members came together this year, clearly showing the strong market interest in the XRP ecosystem.”
The representative added, “Through XRP Seoul, we will continue to strengthen connections between the global XRPL ecosystem and Korean financial institutions, companies, and developers, and turn those exchanges into concrete partnerships and services.”
XRPL Korea said it plans to release a highlight video from the event in the coming days.
