Sible Network halts three-account-per-phone mining pilot

Decentralized AI project Sible Network has suspended its pilot that allowed three accounts to mine from a single smartphone, while reiterating its "one person, one account" rule. The proposal was introduced on Nov. 1 UTC and would have let three people share one device to mine SIB tokens. It was later withdrawn after community members raised concerns about fake accounts, reward farming, and Sybil attacks. Sible Network said the idea was meant to help families that could not afford separate phones for each member. The project announced the suspension on Nov. 2 UTC. The update was cited by Crypto.news and carried by Techub News.

Prediction market volume hit $123.3 billion in October, with Kalshi accounting for about 80%

Artemis data showed total prediction market trading volume reached $123.3 billion in October, the first time the sector has crossed the $100 billion mark. That was up about 53.9% from the previous record set in September, while total trade count climbed to 642.9 million. Kalshi handled $98.2 billion of volume, or roughly 80% of the monthly total, across 465.5 million trades. Polymarket posted $20.2 billion in volume and 148 million trades. Artemis said parlay products tied to football season were the main driver for Kalshi, making up 67.6% of its monthly volume, with most contracts priced below one cent. The data also noted that Kalshi counts volume based on the full $1 payout value of each contract, meaning the figure does not equal the actual capital committed by traders. In other segments, U.S. midterm election markets recorded more than $1.4 billion in volume, while crypto contracts on Kalshi and Polymarket topped $3 billion for two straight weeks for the first time. Polymarket’s U.S. platform generated nearly $10 billion in October volume, about 15% above its previous record.

At a regular press briefing hosted by Chinese foreign ministry spokesperson Mao Ning, a Yonhap News Agency reporter asked about a claim attributed to the U.S. Federal Bureau of Investigation on Oct. 31 that North Korea was behind a cyberattack involving crypto exchange Binance. The reporter said the stolen assets in the case were about $6.3 billion. The question also referenced remarks by Trump, who said that if the information was true, he would discuss the matter with North Korea. The reporter then asked how China viewed both the incident and Trump’s comments. Mao responded briefly that she was not aware of the situation. The exchange, as cited by ChainCatcher, did not include any additional comment from the Chinese side on the alleged attack, the FBI’s statement, or Trump’s remarks.

b14g says 68.1 million CORE recovered after Core hard fork

Bitcoin dual-staking layer b14g said the Core network has completed a hard fork recovery tied to an earlier security incident. According to the team, the event involved about 97.05 million CORE. After the fork, 68,146,177.22 CORE was recovered from three addresses controlled by the attackers. b14g said the recovered funds were moved to a designated recovery address through a one-time state adjustment. The team added that the process did not roll back transactions, did not mint new tokens, and did not change the total supply of CORE. The recovered assets have not yet been distributed to affected users. b14g said it is still working with exchanges and law enforcement agencies to recover the remaining frozen assets, and that it will prepare a transparent distribution plan.

Binance’s He Yi says securing the environment comes first, with withdrawals and operations to resume afterward

Binance co-CEO and co-founder He Yi said in a post on X that the exchange’s immediate priority is to ensure a safe environment, after which users will be able to withdraw funds and Binance will be able to resume operations. In the same post, she said every action has a motive and referred to some exchanges, P2P platforms, and commercial banks that allegedly absconded with funds, arguing that opaque ledgers leave users unable to verify how much money actually remained in accounts or where the funds went after websites were shut down. She added that such closures often come without warning, with the entities disappearing directly, offering no real operations, no explanation of what happened, and no chance for withdrawals to reopen. Binance had previously paused withdrawals because of a security incident. On Nov. 1, the company said it had started restoring withdrawals in phases from 06:00 UTC. By 12:36 UTC, withdrawals for the first 15 networks and related assets had been restored. Binance also said that between 06:00 and 15:30 UTC that day, the platform processed $4.649 billion in withdrawals and $1.01 billion in deposits, for net outflows of about $3.64 billion, equal to roughly 2.1% of the $171 billion in assets under management shown in its proof-of-reserves snapshot as of Oct. 28.

Binance Bitcoin wallet balance falls for a fourth straight day, down 23,200 BTC from Oct. 30

Coinglass data shows Binance’s Bitcoin wallet balance has declined for four consecutive days, reaching about 652,300 BTC as of the latest reading. That compares with roughly 675,500 BTC on Oct. 30, when Binance was hit by a hacker attack, leaving the exchange’s wallet balance lower by about 23,200 BTC over the period. The data also shows Binance’s Bitcoin wallet balance fell by about 15,894.17 BTC in the past 24 hours. Odaily said the latest drop may be linked to Binance reopening withdrawals. The figures point to a continued reduction in the exchange’s tracked BTC holdings over the past several days, based on Coinglass monitoring cited in the report.
