RootData says perpetual stock contracts rose over the weekend, with crypto-linked names moving higher premarket
ChainCatcher, citing data from RootData, reported that perpetual stock contracts traded on exchanges may have started pricing in equity market moves while traditional markets were closed for the weekend. The data showed broad gains across crypto-linked and technology-related names in premarket-style pricing. Strategy (MSTR) led the group, with its contract quoted at $162.81 versus the previous official close of $153.92, a gain of 5.78%. Coinbase (COIN) was at $201.47, up 3.72% from $194.25, while Circle (CRCL) traded at $95.06, up 3.57% from $91.78. Robinhood (HOOD) rose 3.45% to $123.95, and AMD (AMD) gained 3.15% to $577.46. Other names in the RootData snapshot also moved up. Micron Technology (MU) was quoted at $1,040.67, up 2.45% from $1015.80. Meta (META) climbed 2.45% to $682.04. Tesla (TSLA) added 1.77% to $370.73, SanDisk (SNDK) rose 1.64% to $1,821.27, and Nvidia (NVDA) was up 1.21% to $224.96.
