Gold slips, European equities edge lower, while WTI crude holds above $80
Gate’s latest market data showed a mixed cross-asset picture, with precious metals, volatility gauges, currencies, major European equity indexes and crude oil all moving within a relatively narrow intraday range. Gold fell to $4,044.69 per ounce, down 0.43% on the day, while silver traded at $57.433 per ounce, up 0.14%. In crypto-linked volatility measures, nBVIX, the BTC volatility index, was quoted at 36.31, down 4.65%, and EVIX, the ETH volatility index, stood at 49.38, down 2.24%.
In foreign exchange, USD/CNH slipped 0.03% to 6.76596, while USD/JPY fell 0.04% to 162.097. European stock benchmarks also moved lower, with the Euro Stoxx 50 down 0.17% at 6,277.98, the UK100 off 0.12% at 10,473.8, and Germany’s DAX40 down 0.26% at 24,948.5. In commodities, WTI crude rose 0.06% to $80.16 a barrel and Brent crude fell 0.2% to $85.37 a barrel. Gate also said its TradFi trading functions have been integrated into its app and web platform, allowing users to trade products tied to precious metals, FX, global stock CFDs, major indexes and commodities without switching platforms.
