Bitget adds 472 spot stock rTokens, bringing total listings to 1,186

Bitget said it has listed 472 additional spot stock rTokens, including rBAM for Brookfield Asset Management, rHMC for Honda Motor, rVOD for Vodafone, and rFOXA for Fox Corp. Class A. The new batch covers multiple sectors such as finance, healthcare, and utilities, lifting the platform’s total number of supported rTokens to 1,186. According to the announcement, rTokens use the format of the letter “r” plus a stock ticker, with rNVDA given as the example for Nvidia. The products are issued by Reality, Bitget’s licensed RWA protocol, and connect to global liquidity pools including Nasdaq and the New York Stock Exchange through a partnership with regulated broker Alpaca. Bitget said the products are backed by 1:1 reserves of the underlying assets and held with licensed custodians. Stock dividends are distributed 1:1 in token form, while corporate actions such as stock splits and reverse splits are mirrored in sync. The exchange also said rToken holdings can be used as joint collateral in its unified account and USDT-margined futures setup.

Bernie Sanders says he will introduce bill targeting Flock as he warns of AI mass surveillance

Sen. Bernie Sanders said he plans to introduce legislation aimed at Flock Safety, the surveillance-camera company he says is helping drive the United States toward a "surveillance state." In a Wednesday post on X, the Vermont independent called for action against what he described as unchecked AI-powered tracking, warning that the technology could push the country toward totalitarianism if left unchallenged. Sanders said Flock, which he described as backed by Marc Andreessen and Peter Thiel, has installed more than 120,000 AI-powered cameras across the U.S. He said those cameras scan and record 20 billion vehicles each month in more than 6,000 communities. Sanders argued the system reaches deeply into ordinary life, from school drop-offs to doctor visits and dates, and said Flock’s tools can connect images of people and vehicles with databases containing phone numbers, relatives, and court records. His pledge comes as resistance to Flock grows across party lines. Rep. Thomas Massie said he plans legislation to cut off federal funding for agencies using the cameras, while local governments in places including Los Angeles and Monroe County, Indiana, have suspended or canceled contracts over privacy concerns. Sanders did not say when he would introduce the bill.

Bitcoin May Hedge a Weakening Dollar, Fox Business Report Cited by Bitcoin Magazine

ChainCatcher said Bitcoin Magazine cited a Fox Business report arguing that Bitcoin could serve as a hedge against a weaker U.S. dollar. US short-form drama market heads toward $1.5 billion as audiences and ad spending climb

Short-form drama apps are growing quickly in the United States, with industry estimates cited by Reuters putting monthly active viewers at 66 million in 2025, up from 26 million in 2024. Market revenue is projected to reach $1.5 billion in 2026 and approach $2 billion in 2027. These shows typically run 45 seconds to two minutes per episode, with 50 to 75 episodes per title and production budgets often ranging from $100,000 to $300,000. ABMedia says the format combines soap-opera cliffhangers, mobile-game style paid unlocks, and highly targeted distribution on social platforms. That mix is shifting attention away from simple content cost and toward how much viewing time, app installs, and paid conversion each dollar can generate. Data from Omdia shows ReelShort’s daily mobile viewing time hit 35.7 minutes in the fourth quarter of 2025, above Prime Video, Netflix, and Disney+, before rising to about 38 minutes in the second quarter of 2026, according to Reuters. ABMedia also points to public companies that may benefit from the trend, including Meta, Google, and Apple, alongside media groups such as Fox and NBCUniversal that are testing vertical video and original micro-dramas.

Crypto Dark Pools Gain Share as Public Order Books Lose Sight of Whale Activity

Data released by sFOX points to a sharp change in how large crypto trades are being executed. The firm said dark-pool volume climbed from a negligible level in April to 15% of total monthly volume by June, while dark-pool trades reached $147 million in May alone. In a July 30 report, sFOX also said 77.7% of institutional flow on its platform was matched through over-the-counter desks, compared with just 18.4% routed to public exchanges. Diana Pires of sFOX told CryptoSlate that the shift looks structural, drawing a parallel with the way equity and foreign-exchange markets evolved years ago. Her argument is straightforward: large visible orders on public books invite front-running and adverse price moves, so institutions have a strong incentive to hide execution trails and split large positions across many venues. That change carries broader implications for market participants. Public exchange books, once treated as a rough picture of real trading activity, may now show only a fraction of total flow. Pires said dark pools, OTC desks and brokers can see underlying routing data, while retail traders cannot. She also laid out two possible outcomes: one where aggregation improves pricing and lowers slippage for more users, and another where transparency disappears faster than execution quality improves for smaller traders.

Crypto dark pool share climbs to 15% as institutional flow shifts away from public exchanges

Data from sFOX points to a notable shift in how large crypto orders are being executed. The firm said dark pool volume, negligible in April, rose to 15% of total monthly trading volume by June, with $147 million traded in dark pools in May alone. In a separate July 30 report, sFOX said 77.7% of institutional flow on its platform was matched through over-the-counter desks, while only 18.4% went to public exchanges. Diana Pires of sFOX told CryptoSlate this marks a structural change similar to the evolution seen years ago in equities and foreign exchange markets. The change has implications for price discovery, market transparency, and the ability of retail traders to track large players through exchange order books, balances, and visible liquidity. As more institutional flow gets internalized, split up, or routed across many venues, public exchange data may show a shrinking share of actual market activity, even when large buyers or sellers remain active behind the scenes.

NEXST pitches an AI, RWA and VR stack to rebuild fan economics in entertainment

NEXST is positioning itself as a Web3 entertainment infrastructure project built around AI, virtual reality and real-world assets, with a strategy that reaches beyond one-off VR concerts or simple IP tokenization. The company has recently worked with K-pop acts including UNIS and KISS OF LIFE on Xmersive VR concerts, while also building an AI-powered social creation layer, an RWA ticketing system and an entertainment IP gaming arm. The project says its framework is designed around “Fan Continuity,” a model aimed at turning fragmented fan spending — tickets, merchandise, voting and VIP experiences — into persistent, on-chain rights that can accumulate, unlock perks and circulate across products. That includes tokenized concert tickets, merchandise and VIP access, as well as AI agents that remember user preferences and support ongoing fan interaction. According to the article, NEXST raised a $3 million strategic round earlier this year with participation from Castrum Capital, TBV and others. Its token, NXT, was listed in May on OKX Boost, KuCoin, MEXC and LBank, with an issue price of $0.1 and a reported peak of $0.5098. NEXST also says it is setting up a 10 million NXT treasury to support AI idol content production and broader ecosystem development as it expands in Southeast Asia, Europe and the U.S.
