Long.xyz Co-founder: Continue RWA Pairings, Next Goal is Scaling Up to 100x

In a post on X, Long.xyz co-founder Nate declared that the platform will continue to develop assets and products centered around Robinhood Chain, maintaining a strict 'RWA pairings only' policy, which means exclusively focusing on pairing real-world assets. He argued that this model has the potential to create an entirely new asset class, effectively bridging the gap between on-chain digital assets and the physical world. Nate also highlighted the performance of tokens BONER and MEME, which experienced rapid growth immediately after their listing and have continued to develop further, with liquidity deepening over time. He believes that the RWA pairing model has been preliminarily validated, though it is still in its early stages. Looking ahead, the next phase for Long.xyz is to scale up significantly, aiming for a 100x increase.

Circle Details cirBTC Reserve Mechanism: 1:1 BTC Backing, Segregated Custody, and On-Chain Verification

Circle has released a detailed explanation of its cirBTC reserve mechanism, emphasizing that the wrapped Bitcoin product is backed 1:1 by native BTC, with segregated custody and on-chain verifiable reserves. cirBTC is currently live on Ethereum, with plans to expand to more blockchains after the Arc mainnet launch. The reserves are held by a Circle affiliate and custodied by OCC-regulated Circle National Trust, isolated from Circle's corporate assets. Public BTC addresses and Chainlink Proof of Reserve provide on-chain verification. The model aims to offer institutions a transparent standard for wrapped BTC reserves, enabling BTC as collateral in on-chain lending, trading, and settlement through smart contracts.

Open-Source Agent Framework Pi Reaches 100K GitHub Stars, v2 on the Horizon

Pi, an open-source agent harness, has surpassed 100,000 stars on GitHub. The team also teased the upcoming Pi v2. Over the past month, the team has been rewriting the underlying agent runtime, evolving from Harness v2 to v3, adding task persistence, crash recovery, and parallel execution lanes. The new Harness aims to allow agents to resume from a safe state after a crash and support concurrent tasks on the same session history.

OpenAI resets usage limits for Codex and ChatGPT Work paid users after fixing eight quota-draining issues

OpenAI has reset usage limits for all paid users of Codex and ChatGPT Work after reviewing thousands of user reports and fixing a series of bugs that were consuming credits in ways users could not easily see. Codex lead Tibo said the company reworked the system behind usage accounting and now expects the same Codex quota to last 10% to 50% longer, depending on how the product is used. The issues covered a wide range of background processes inside the agent workflow. OpenAI said context compaction was retaining old images, some completed /goal tasks were failing to stop, broken tools could trigger repeated retries, and a Memory Worker bug could keep certain background jobs running. In one case, a task-end check may have executed as many as 15,000 times. The company also found that some subagents selected more expensive helper models or invoked /fast mode without an explicit request. Other fixes involved automation jobs running more often than scheduled, repeated summarization in Computer History, rolling task summaries adding about 1% in extra token use, and MCP tool results being encoded twice or fetched again after truncation. OpenAI said it has made architectural changes, will alert automatically if similar issues reappear, and is building a new in-app feature so users can see where their usage is going.

Bitcoin Faces Sharp Divide Near $82,000 as Traders Clash Over the Next Move

Bitcoin reversed lower after breaking above $81,000 over the weekend, and the debate around the $82,000 area has quickly turned into a public split among well-followed traders. According to BlockBeats, analyst alicharts said Bitcoin’s UTXO Realized Price Distribution shows heavy resistance between $83,307 and $84,569, a range that could trigger profit-taking and a short-term pullback. He also pointed to support at $76,996 to $78,258, where 843,000 BTC changed hands, and another level at $63,111 backed by 925,000 BTC. Trader Killa, who had warned about short-term downside since Aug. 19, said any pullback after the recent rally may stay relatively shallow, with $70,000 to $73,000 seen as a possible bottom zone. He later added that Bitcoin has no chance of breaking $100,000 this year, arguing that both technical structure and positioning still need time to consolidate, and said the level may be reached in Q2 next year. B.TOP founder Jiang Zhuoer took a similar view, saying BTC and ETH had both fallen out of their rising channels and that the weekend, without ETF buying, leaves bulls in a weaker spot. He said he sold 50% of his ETH spot holdings at an average price of $2,430. On the other side, trader “Set 10 Big Goals First” said the selling pressure near $82,000 does not threaten Bitcoin’s medium-term trend and wrote that he had bought back two-thirds of his position in the $78,000 to $79,800 range.

Warsh's Jackson Hole Speech to Target Four Goals, CBA Strategist Says

Samarra Hammoud, a currency strategist at Commonwealth Bank of Australia (CBA), expects Federal Reserve Chairman Warsh's speech at the Jackson Hole symposium to be aimed at four main objectives. The first objective, she said, is to restore market confidence in the Fed's commitment to containing inflation. The second is to ease the market's concerns over fiscal dominance. The third, according to Hammoud, is to persuade market participants that reducing dependence on forward guidance will not undermine financial stability. And the fourth is to boost market confidence in the Fed's various working groups. Hammoud noted that these goals are quite ambitious, and the market should take a skeptical stance, as communication alone is unlikely to accomplish all of them. Given Warsh's apparent reluctance to use forward guidance, market participants might consider his rhetoric on inflation insufficiently tough. Under those circumstances, the U.S. dollar could potentially weaken. Jinshi carried the remarks.

South Korea's Mirae Asset Plans $109B Digital Asset Business via Digital X

South Korean financial group Mirae Asset plans to build a digital asset business valued at 150 trillion won (approximately $109 billion) through its cryptocurrency exchange Digital X. The planned business will cover cryptocurrencies, stablecoins, and the tokenization of real-world assets. Group founder Park Hyun-joo told employees on Wednesday that the goal is to make Digital X a core pillar of 'Mirae Asset 3.0.' Specifically, the plan includes tokenizing physical assets such as gold, silver, and electricity, while also launching security token offering (STO) services. Meanwhile, Digital X has introduced a zero-fee policy for Korean won trading pairs, effective from Monday and scheduled to run until August 24, 2027. On the corporate side, Mirae Asset Consulting acquired 97.15% of Korbit, the predecessor of Digital X, for 141.4 billion won in July this year. That deal made it the first subsidiary of a financial group to take control of a domestic South Korean cryptocurrency exchange. CoinTelegraph reported the news, citing The Korea Times.
