Nvidia jumps more than 10% for the week as easing AI chip worries lift semis
Nvidia (NVDA) rose more than 10% over the week, while the Philadelphia Semiconductor Index (SOX) gained more than 8% in the same period. The rebound followed an earlier sell-off in semiconductor stocks, which had been driven by concerns over the scale of AI infrastructure spending and rich valuations across chipmakers. Recent trading points to a partial recovery in market sentiment. Part of Nvidia’s advance was tied to positive comments linked to SpaceX. On the company’s first earnings call, Elon Musk said SpaceX plans to build data centers on Earth and in space, and that it will use Nvidia chips بالكامل. At the same time, supply constraints around high-bandwidth memory, or HBM, remain in focus. According to The Information, Nvidia is testing a Rubin Ultra variant with reduced HBM configuration as it responds to a global shortage of high-bandwidth memory.
