Bitget2026-08-10 11:58:00Bitget Details USDT Compensation Plan for TUT, LOBSTER and BICO Contract AnomalyBitget has detailed a compensation plan for users hit by abnormal price moves in TUTUSDT, LOBSTERUSDT and BICOUSDT contracts on Aug. 9, between 15:10 and 15:15 (UTC+8). The exchange will use the market’s fair price and account equity snapshot taken at 15:00 to issue USDT compensation to contract users whose short positions were force-liquidated because of the mark price anomaly. The coverage spans unified accounts, classic cross margin and isolated margin modes. Reference compensation prices are 0.21 USDT for TUT, 0.027 USDT for LOBSTER and 0.0897 USDT for BICO. Bitget also said it is strengthening monitoring of abnormal trading and concentrated positions, applying tougher listing and ongoing evaluation standards for high-risk trading pairs, dynamically adjusting leverage and position limits, and refining its mark price and liquidation mechanisms. Xie Jiayin, head of Bitget’s Greater China business, said the mark price issue and severe liquidity imbalance for the three contracts on Aug. 9, 2026 triggered abnormal liquidations of some short positions, causing nearly $40 million in user losses.2810
Securities As2026-08-07 09:42:57Securities Association of China sets 25% cap for single-bond exposure in advisory accountsThe Securities Association of China has issued new self-regulatory rules for securities firms’ bond investment advisory business. Under the rules, a firm’s investment advice should not, in principle, result in the cost of a single bond position in one advisory account exceeding 25% of that account’s total assets. The rules also lay out three exemption cases, covering sovereign and policy-related debt instruments, the first three months after a client account is first served, and passive breaches caused by objective events such as bond putback exercises or changes to the list of systemically important banks.1790
Ourbit2026-07-28 12:26:21User alleges Ourbit blocked withdrawal and login after 100,000 USDT depositChainCatcher reported, citing a public disclosure by crypto user @HowardLouisHL, that the user deposited 100,000 USDT into Ourbit on June 30, 2026 and traded normally for about a week before running into withdrawal restrictions. On July 4, when the user tried to withdraw funds to Binance, the system reportedly blocked the transfer. According to the disclosure, customer service only said the account had “triggered risk control” and did not provide a specific explanation. The user said the account was then barred from logging in the following day. After being required to submit full identity and account materials, the user received an official email from Ourbit on July 20 stating that the review had been postponed until July 3, 2027, adding that the timeline “may be extended again without reason.” The user has asked for three things: disclosure of the specific reason for the risk-control action, a clear processing timetable, and the immediate unfreezing and return of the 100,000 USDT. As of now, Ourbit has not issued a public response to the matter.2360

whale2026-07-21 10:59:28Whale Trader Says Current Cycle Profit Target Is $300 Million, With $60 Million Already RealizedA crypto whale known as “Set 10 Big Goals First” said this trading cycle is targeting $300 million in profit after building a position with 300 BTC, adding that realized profit has already reached $60 million. The trader contrasted that with the previous cycle, when a position opened with 150 BTC had aimed for $150 million in profit and at one point locked in as much as $120 million. According to the post, those gains were wiped out near the end after the trader misread the direction of a drop from $120,000, leaving only principal preserved and a small residual profit. The trader later said the experience led to stricter risk-control discipline and a clearer set of rules. Earlier that morning, the whale also shared a 4x leveraged long on Bitcoin entered at an average price of $63,827.06. The disclosed position size was about 2,358.05 BTC, or roughly $150 million. With BTC moving above $66,000, floating profit on that long could expand to about $5.15 million.2190
