Breez launches Glow, an open-source app for sending stablecoins from Bitcoin balances

Breez has unveiled Glow, a free and open-source progressive web app built with Bitcoin Spark that lets users send stablecoins using funds drawn from their Bitcoin balance. The company said its SDK handles asset exchange in the background while supporting Lightning payments through Spark integration, aiming to spare developers the harder parts of building on Bitcoin. Glow is available through Apple and Android app stores and replaces the familiar seed phrase backup flow with Passkey-based access, while still promising self-custody, cryptographic control over funds, and auditable software. The app also supports native Lightning payments, customizable Lightning addresses, contacts integration, and instant bitcoin purchases through Cash App and MoonPay. Through a partnership with Flashnet, Glow currently supports sending USDT and USDC across most networks and blockchains, and it uses USDB, a Bitcoin-native stablecoin issued by Brale Inc. The article also notes that Brale says it meets GENIUS Act standards, though that compliance cannot currently be verified because the rules are still being implemented and do not take effect until 2027.
