The company said the new entity is designed to combine traditional finance with blockchain infrastructure to build a real-world asset platform for institutional investors. It also plans to pursue a dual listing on Figure OPEN, a blockchain-based trading venue expected to launch before November 2026. VerifyMe, originally listed in 2009, had an adjusted offering price of about $8.50 after stock split adjustments. OpenWorld opened at $8.11 on its first trading day following the merger and most recently closed at $5.40. The company is led by Chairman and CEO Matthew Shaw and Group President Russ McMeekin. OpenWorld said it has advised projects with more than $66 billion in total network value since its 2023 founding and has worked with more than 20 companies backed by firms including a16z, Multicoin Capital, Dragonfly, and Founders Fund.20
