Boyaa Interactive (00434.HK) said in a voluntary announcement that it bought about 152 Bitcoin in the open market for roughly HK$90.63 million, or about $11.56 million. The company said the average purchase price was $75,899 per BTC. After the latest purchase, its total Bitcoin holdings rose to about 4,468 BTC, with an overall average cost of $68,543 per coin. Boyaa said the purchase is meant to support its transition toward Web3-related business. Jeffrey Tchui, Executive Director for Asia-Pacific at Hashgraph (Hedera), has been confirmed as a speaker for GWDC 2026 KOREA, according to Techub News. Amazon Web Services has added the open-source Kimi K3 model to Amazon Bedrock, giving enterprise developers worldwide direct access through the platform, according to a Sept. 21 report cited by ChainCatcher. The move confirms earlier market talk that Kimi had been working on revenue-sharing arrangements with overseas cloud providers. Yicai learned that Moonshot AI, the developer behind Kimi, is pushing ahead with revenue-sharing partnerships with multiple overseas cloud vendors. Under that model, cloud providers list Kimi on their own platforms and split revenue with Moonshot AI based on model usage volume. The report also cited official information from Alibaba Cloud’s Bailian platform showing that Kimi K3 has already been listed there under a similar commercial arrangement. The updates place Kimi K3 on both Amazon Bedrock and Alibaba Cloud Bailian, extending its distribution through major cloud platforms and giving enterprise users more direct channels to access the model.

Apple and Google are both recruiting people with stablecoin and digital asset expertise, a move that points to deeper work around payments and financial infrastructure rather than a confirmed plan to issue their own tokens. According to a report cited by BlockTempo, Apple posted a U.S.-based role for a head of financial product strategy tied to Apple Pay services including Apple Card and Apple Cash, and listed knowledge of stablecoins, tokenized deposits and blockchain technology as preferred qualifications. Google, meanwhile, is hiring a principal architect for the Web3 industry in Hong Kong to support Google Cloud’s Web3 and digital asset business across Asia-Pacific. Preferred experience for that role includes real-world asset tokenization, stablecoin payment networks, tokenized deposits and digital asset custody. The report says the overlap in hiring priorities at both companies suggests that the next phase of competition in digital payments may center on infrastructure that connects mainstream payment products with blockchain-based financial rails. At the same time, it notes there is still no concrete evidence that either company plans to launch its own stablecoin.

Authorities in Japan, the United States, Australia and Germany issued a joint alert on Sept. 18 accusing the North Korea-linked hacking group WaterPlum of posing as recruiters from AI, cryptocurrency and NFT companies to trick software engineers into running malware during fake job interviews. The notice said the campaign compromised at least 30,000 computers across more than 100 countries between December 2025 and July 2026, leading to losses from more than 7,000 crypto wallets. According to the alert, the stolen assets were moved to wallets tied to North Korea, with total losses reaching at least JPY 1.7 billion, or about $10.71 million. Investigators said the main victims were individuals, including web designers, engineers and professionals working in crypto, blockchain and Web3, and that the attackers targeted their personal wallets. The notice also described how the group allegedly hid malware in NPM packages, used AI face-swapping tools during interviews, and relied on remote access trojans and infostealers to extract credentials, wallet keys and personal documents. Japanese authorities said they also dismantled a laptop farm in Japan for the first time, linking it to North Korean IT workers through shared IP addresses.
