Tony Mowbray said Kristi Montgomery, Yuri Ribeiro and Yuki Ohashi are available for Blackburn Rovers' trip to Swansea City on Saturday. The update matters for Blackburn Rovers' selection after Mowbray said the team are sitting with one fit striker at the moment.
Three players available
Mowbray confirmed Montgomery, Ribeiro and Ohashi are all available for the trip on Saturday. Ribeiro has been out for a month, while Ohashi has spent around two months sidelined with a hamstring injury.
Mowbray said: "A lot of games coming up, lots of selection issues. Sitting at the moment with one fit striker is not ideal with so many games; it’s a three-game week coming up. So it’s great to have him available, even if it’s 15 minutes or 20 minutes, 30 minutes."
Jorgensen expected to remain out
Mathias Jorgensen is expected to be out for around three weeks after suffering a quad problem. Mowbray said he had given Jorgensen a few days to see his family and recover.
Mowbray said: "I think as well as dealing with the injury, we need to deal with the psychological side of it. I’ve given him a few days to see his family and recover because it’s been a pretty tough journey that he’s had. Then to break down when he was on the cusp of getting back to full fitness is tough for him. Hopefully it’s only another three weeks or something like that, and he’ll be back on the grass again but it’s just tough. I think sometimes it feels as if you’re there, you’re ready to start games and then break down. So we will try and look after him and make sure he’s in the right frame of mind."
Morishita also sidelined
Ryoya Morishita is also expected to be out for another two or three weeks, with a potential return after the international break.
