David Moyes said the issue that forced Jarrad Branthwaite off during Everton's 1-0 win over Newcastle is not thought to be serious. The Everton boss also said Jack Grealish remains unavailable for disciplinary reasons.
Branthwaite forced off
Moyes said: "Jarrad went off, he was cramping in both legs."
Moyes said: "We don’t think it’s too serious but obviously he’s been out for a couple of weeks."
Moyes said: "We’re not nursing him back, I would have hoped he would have got through but he was struggling in the last 15 minutes."
Grealish still unavailable
Asked about Grealish, Moyes said he remains unavailable for disciplinary reasons. Moyes said: "He’s not available at the moment."
Asked whether there was still a way back for Grealish, Moyes replied: "Of course there is, yeah."
Barry goal seals another win
Thierno Barry's goal gave Everton a second win over Newcastle in the space of a few days.
Moyes said: "Beating them on Thursday night and beating them again today is not an easy thing to do for any club."
Moyes praises players
After the win, Moyes praised his players. He said: "They give everything they’ve got, they’re a brilliant group of players and they’ve had it tough as well. They want to keep winning and have found it difficult with the way things have gone, but they’re pulling it out, doing their best to be in all the games."
