AEON, an AI economy settlement protocol, has announced Agentic Checkout, enabling AI agents to complete product search, selection, checkout and payment through natural-language conversations inside Shopify's open merchant ecosystem. The AEON AI Card supports the payment stage, with preset spending limits and authorization ranges that let an AI agent pay without direct access to a user's main wallet or primary card. The offering now covers more than 3 million active Shopify stores and over 1 billion products. In a later phase, AEON will integrate Claude's open-source e-commerce agent and expand into shopping and payment scenarios including Amazon and Travala.

AEON, an AI economy settlement protocol, has launched Agentic Checkout. The feature lets an AI Agent use natural-language dialogue to search for products, make selections, check out and pay inside Shopify's open merchant ecosystem.

The payment layer is provided by the AEON AI Card, a virtual card with preset spending limits and authorization ranges. That allows an AI agent to complete purchases without touching the user's main wallet or primary card.

AEON Agentic Checkout currently covers more than 3 million active Shopify stores and over 1 billion products. In a later phase, AEON will connect Claude's open-source e-commerce agent and extend the setup to shopping and payment scenarios including Amazon and Travala.
