Alibaba's development tool Qoder has expanded into a glasses edition, first integrating with the Qianwen AI Glasses and Leqi AI Glasses. The glasses serve as both a voice and visual interface, allowing users to issue tasks by speaking, while the Agent executes on the cloud or computer.
Glasses as Interactive Portal
Once wearing the glasses, users can issue new commands at any time, receive progress updates, and get confirmation prompts before critical actions. When seeing error pop-ups, device status, whiteboard sketches, or on-screen information, users can simply ask the glasses to capture the image. Qoder then identifies the visual content and proceeds to troubleshoot, modify code, or organize tasks. For decisions that require user input, the system proactively asks, and users can respond with simple commands like "the second one."
Upgraded Conversational Interaction
Unlike traditional voice assistants, the Qoder Glasses Edition does not require repeated wake words. Once inside Qoder, users can interrupt the Agent's broadcast to add new requests. Code, tables, and lengthy results are not fully displayed on the lenses; only summaries are spoken aloud, while full content is sent to the phone.
Deployment and Launch Plan
Official documentation provides a complete installation guide for the Leqi edition. The Qianwen edition is currently in targeted beta testing, with a full launch expected at the Yunqi Conference. The 2026 Yunqi Conference will take place from September 22 to 24.
