IDC's China Retail Cloud Market Share 2025 report says Alibaba Cloud is on top of the market with a 30.4% share. In infrastructure—the biggest slice of the retail cloud market—Alibaba Cloud holds 37.5%, still firmly in first.

Alibaba Cloud has built an AI technology stack that runs across chips, cloud, models, and applications. It gives retail companies products and services across infrastructure, data platforms, large models, and industry applications. And its AI tools are built right into retail workflows: intelligent marketing, smart shopping assistants, intelligent customer service, user insights, product management, and supply chain management.

A number of big-name brands are already using Alibaba Cloud's AI platforms for digital upgrades. Adidas built a dedicated AI product design platform with Alibaba Cloud's PAI platform and the Qwen large model. Anta teamed up with Alibaba Cloud to build an "AI Planning" agent platform based on Lingyang AgentOne and the Qwen model. Coach, L'Oréal, Lawson, CDFG, and Petkit have also brought in these capabilities for intelligent upgrades.
