Lorenzo Valente, Director of Digital Asset Research at ARK Invest, shared his views on social media platform X regarding the evolution of blockchain infrastructure. He stated that since the emergence of L1s, application chains, and rollup-centric roadmaps, messaging and interoperability protocols have become critical infrastructure. As more assets are brought on-chain, the demand for universal interoperability is set to increase exponentially. Valente specifically highlighted LayerZero, a cross-chain interoperability protocol, predicting that its interoperability business alone could soon reach a nine-figure annual recurring revenue (ARR). He also noted that the team has more developments in the pipeline. This reflects the growing importance of interoperability solutions in the multi-chain landscape.
ARK Invest's Director of Digital Asset Research, Lorenzo Valente, wrote on X that messaging and interoperability protocols are now critical infrastructure, a shift driven by the rise of L1s, application chains, and rollup-centric roadmaps.
And he made the bigger point plainly: demand for universal interoperability will grow exponentially as more assets get tokenized and move on-chain.
Valente also said LayerZero, a cross-chain interoperability protocol, could push its interoperability business to a nine-figure ARR (annual recurring revenue) in the near future.
He added that the team still has more progress ahead.
