A whale that fully exited 50,600 ETH at an average price of $2,921 late last year has returned to the market after an eight-month break, according to on-chain analyst Ember. The address had previously realized a $19.02 million profit from that ETH sale.
Over the past day, the whale swapped 14.2 million USDC for 179.8 BTC through THORChain, with an execution price of $78,955 per bitcoin. Ember said the buying is still ongoing.
The wallet also continues to hold $74.32 million in USDC, indicating that the latest BTC purchase may not be finished yet. The transaction has drawn attention because it marks a fresh move from a whale previously known for a large-scale ETH exit and now re-entering the market through bitcoin.
