Binance said it will support the merger of Velodrome Finance’s VELODROME token into Aerodrome’s AERO token and carry out an AERO contract swap. The exchange set the conversion ratio at 1 VELODROME = 0.044 AERO and outlined a timetable covering spot trading, deposits and withdrawals, and futures trading.
Under the schedule, Binance will delist the VELODROME/USDT spot pair and cancel all pending orders at 03:00 UTC on Nov. 3. Starting at 03:30 UTC the same day, deposits and withdrawals for both VELODROME and AERO will be suspended. After the process is completed, Binance said it will no longer support VELODROME, while the reopening time for AERO deposits and withdrawals will be announced separately.
For derivatives, Binance will stop users from opening new positions in the VELODROMEUSDT contract at 08:30 UTC on Oct. 28. At 09:00 UTC, it will automatically close and settle positions before removing the contract. Binance also said the merger will change AERO’s tokenomics, with total supply increasing from 2 billion to 2.12 billion and circulating supply rising from 1 billion to 1.07 billion.

For derivatives, Binance will prohibit new positions on the VELODROMEUSDT contract starting at 08:30 UTC on Oct. 28. At 09:00 UTC, it will automatically close and settle positions and then delist the VELODROMEUSDT contract.
Changes to AERO tokenomics
The merger will also change AERO’s tokenomics. Total supply will increase from 2 billion to 2.12 billion, while circulating supply will rise from 1 billion to 1.07 billion.
