Bloomberg ETF analyst Eric Balchunas said in a post on X that BlackRock has announced a 1-for-3 reverse split for ETHA. According to his post, the move would lift the fund's price from $14 to $42 in October. Balchunas also said the change is expected to reduce trading costs from 7 basis points to about 2 basis points. He added that ETF issuers viewed a 7-basis-point spread as a problem and adjusted it to roughly 2 basis points. For comparison, he said crypto exchanges charge about 140 basis points.
