Catalyst opens its waitlist
Catalyst was founded in 2025 and is building an AI trading agent platform for retail investors. According to the project description, users can express investment ideas, macro views, or market judgments in natural language. Catalyst’s AI agents then research relevant information, build trading strategies, run historical backtests, monitor events and signals on an ongoing basis, and execute trades after user approval.
On Oct. 8, Catalyst said it had raised $30 million in seed funding. Sequoia Capital led the round, with Jump Trading, PeakXV, Lux Capital, AntiFund, Coinbase, and Premji Invest participating.
To join the waitlist, users can visit https://catalyst.app/ , click "Join waitlist," and submit an email address and X account.
RocX testnet goes live
RocX is a DeFi platform built around Proof of Activity, or PoA. The project combines on-chain capital activity with verifiable user participation. Its core idea is "Every Web3 Activity Creates Value," bringing capital, contribution, and reputation into a single measurable value system.
On Oct. 5, RocX said in a post on X that its testnet had gone live.
The interaction flow is as follows:
- Get Base testnet ETH from https://www.alchemy.com/faucets/base-sepolia ;
- Go to https://rocx-testnet.com/ , click "Launch App," and connect a wallet;
- Open "My Page" and bind an X account;
- Go to "Explore" and click "Check in now" for a daily check-in worth 100 points each time;
- Open "DeFi" and deposit testnet ETH.
SmartX starts the second round of its waitlist
SmartX is described as a personalized social trading app covering meme assets, perpetual futures, stocks, and prediction markets.
On Aug. 25, YZi Labs published the selected companies for EASY Residency Season 4. A total of 24 early-stage companies were chosen this season, and each received a $500,000 investment. SmartX was among them.
On Oct. 8, SmartX said in a post on X that the second round of its waitlist was now live.
The application process has two steps. First, go to https://smartx.io/ , click "Waitlist," then click "Start the test" and answer six questions. Second, after finishing the questions, enter an email address and the verification code to complete the application.
According to the project, ranking is determined by both join time and Boost. Inviting friends can increase Boost and improve ranking. If Boost is the same, earlier participants rank higher.
