Coinbase Derivatives started scheduled maintenance at 5:00 a.m. U.S. Central Time on Oct. 24, temporarily suspending futures and perpetual contract trading. The maintenance window is expected to last as long as nine hours, with services projected to resume around 14:00 the same day. During the outage, users can still sign in to their accounts and check balances, but they cannot open new positions or modify existing orders. Coinbase Derivatives said the work includes its regular quarterly maintenance and also covers participation in the Futures Industry Association’s annual disaster recovery exercise. The update affects trading access rather than account visibility, leaving balance viewing available while order activity remains restricted.
