Ethereum-based meme coin project Pepeto (PEPETO) says it has raised more than $5.55 million in its ongoing presale. According to the release, the token is currently priced at $0.000000141, while its staking system and smart contract framework are already live. Pepeto is presenting itself as a utility-focused platform for the meme coin segment, aiming to combine trading infrastructure, cross-chain tools, and token vetting into a single ecosystem.
Fundraising Progress Tied to Product Development
The project says it is trying to move beyond a purely speculative meme coin narrative by building an exchange environment with zero-fee trading, token screening, and seamless chain interoperability. The stated goal is to address persistent issues in the meme coin market, including scams, elevated fees, and fragmented liquidity.
The team also said that more than 850 vetted tokens are ready for listing once the exchange secures a Tier 1 partner. At the same time, Pepeto’s staking platform is already active, with more than 31 trillion PEPETO tokens reportedly staked. The project says the staking model offers annual rewards of more than 265%, distributed over a two-year schedule and claimable once the staking dashboard is fully enabled.
Exchange, Bridge, and Tokenomics Take Shape
On the infrastructure side, Pepeto says its smart contract has been audited and its code made public. The team added that further audits and business verification have been completed, moving the project into Phase 3 of its roadmap, which is focused on product testing and upcoming launches. Early platform components include an exchange, a cross-chain bridge, live swap support, and trading tools, with licensing for the exchange and bridge said to be secured.
Its tokenomics outline a total supply of 420 trillion tokens. Of that amount, 30% is allocated to presale participants, 30% to staking rewards, 20% to marketing, 12.5% to liquidity, and 7.5% to ongoing development. The team says this structure is designed to support long-term ecosystem health and platform growth.
Execution Remains the Key Next Test
Pepeto also said it recently relaunched its website with performance and user experience improvements. According to the release, contract audits, bridge approvals, and operational reviews have all been completed ahead of launch, while trading charts, the swap interface, and the token bridge are now demo-ready. Upcoming milestones include additional exchange listings, the full launch of PepetoSwap, and activation of the claim function for stakers.
Overall, Pepeto is attempting to shift from a meme-led identity to a functional platform story. Still, many of the most important milestones remain in testing, demo, or pre-launch stages, meaning the project’s next phase will likely be judged on delivery, partnerships, and real ecosystem usage rather than fundraising momentum alone.
