Futu Holdings has issued an announcement stating that, to implement the regulatory requirements of the two-year centralized rectification period and promote the standardized development of cross-border securities business, adjustments will be made to services for existing investors in mainland China. Starting June 12, 2026 (Beijing time), investment accounts will no longer support buy (opening) transactions for all securities types, although sell (closing) transactions will remain unaffected. Concurrently, the fund transfer-in service for mainland China will also be suspended.
As a well-known online brokerage, Futu provides investors with cross-border trading services for US and Hong Kong stocks. The latest adjustment only limits the buying and fund-in abilities of its existing mainland Chinese users, while existing positions can still be sold and funds can be withdrawn. The move is part of Futu's ongoing effort to align its operations with regulatory guidelines on cross-border securities business, steering its services back onto a compliant track.
