TRON founder Justin Sun’s dispute with Chinese actress Jing Tian has entered both the courts and the public arena. According to an Aug. 27 report by Star News, part of United Daily News, Sun has filed a civil lawsuit against Jing Tian and her parents, seeking about 130 million yuan in damages and requesting asset preservation.
Lawsuit filed as Jing Tian’s side denies the claims
The report said the property dispute had been circulating online since May. It has now been formally brought to court by Sun’s side. Jing Tian’s studio later issued a statement denying the allegations and described the move as an attempt to use an artist’s reputation as leverage. The statement said, 「Reputation is an artist’s life and weak point, but we have the courage to say no to this kind of behavior,」 and added that the matter would be handled through the courts.
The case is still at the stage of jurisdictional objection and has not yet entered substantive trial proceedings. Both sides have publicly stated their positions, and the outcome will be left to the judicial process.
X post titled “My Girlfriend Jing Tian” was labeled fictional
Almost at the same time as the lawsuit, Sun published a long post on X titled My Girlfriend Jing Tian. The text used a relationship between a wealthy businessman and a female celebrity from 2007 to 2026 as its main thread. It included elements involving luxury, control and surrogacy, and ended with a clear note saying the article was entirely fictional.
Because Sun explicitly labeled the post as fiction, the plot details cannot be treated as factual statements. Even so, the use of Jing Tian’s name in the title, together with the timing alongside the lawsuit, led outside observers to read it as a reference to the relationship and dispute between the two. Jing Tian’s side has denied the related allegations.
No direct link to TRON’s business
For the crypto industry, the episode has no direct connection to TRON’s business operations. The matter is closer to a personal legal and reputational dispute involving Sun. Still, the case has drawn attention because of his high profile in the crypto sector.
