Micron said on Sept. 11 that it will distribute fiscal 2026 compensation to more than 60,000 employees worldwide, describing the package as the largest in the company’s history. In Taiwan, eligible employees will receive a NT$1 million thank-you bonus, and the company said total compensation for production line staff is equivalent to about 35 to 68 months of salary.
NT$1 million thank-you bonus for eligible Taiwan employees
Micron said employees in Taiwan who joined on or before Aug. 29, 2025 will each receive a NT$1 million thank-you bonus. Employees hired during fiscal 2026 will receive the payment on a prorated basis according to their time with the company.
Alongside the cash award, annual performance bonuses can reach as much as 500% of the base target. The package also includes additional stock compensation. Using an entry-level engineer as an example, Micron said average compensation is about NT$2.9 million, and can reach NT$3.4 million when stock awards are included. For production line workers, compensation is roughly equal to 35 to 68 months of salary.
The company said the compensation level is the highest on record and is intended to recognize employee contributions to this year’s operating results. Micron also said it reflects a long-term commitment to sharing growth with employees. The company added that annual stock compensation in Taiwan has reached 100% coverage, with a new round of annual stock grants expected to be awarded in late October.
Fiscal Q3 revenue reached $41.456 billion
According to Micron’s financial results, revenue for the third quarter of fiscal 2026 was $41.456 billion. Gross margin was 84.6%, compared with 37.7% in the same period a year earlier, while revenue rose 46.9% year over year. Net profit for the first nine months totaled $47.268 billion, versus $5.338 billion a year earlier, up 785%.
For the fourth quarter, Micron forecast revenue of $50 billion and gross margin of about 86%. Full-year fiscal 2026 results are expected to be released in late September.
Micron comments on labor dispute
On the labor dispute, Micron previously said it appreciated the Taoyuan City Government’s guidance during mediation. The company said it would keep listening to team members and continue to reward employees through competitive compensation, performance incentives and global career development opportunities. It also said it would continue participating in follow-up mediation procedures.
Micron said Taiwan is one of its key production and technology hubs. The company currently has about 15,000 employees in Taiwan and has invested more than NT$1.6 trillion there. It described Taiwan as one of the core bases for Micron’s global DRAM manufacturing and technology development.
