Ondo Global Markets has launched its tokenized stock and ETF offerings on the institutional trading platform Talos, allowing banks, brokers, and asset managers from more than 30 countries to access blockchain-based equities using their existing trading infrastructure. The move significantly lowers the barrier for institutional entry into tokenized securities.
Integration Details: Reducing Friction for Institutions
The integration is facilitated through liquidity provider Gate, which handles execution. Eligible non-U.S. institutional clients can now trade tokenized equities without direct onboarding to Ondo. Gate has reported peak daily trading volumes exceeding $20 billion in traditional finance-linked activities, providing immediate liquidity and reducing integration complexity.
“This removes key operational barriers,” said Katie Wheeler, Managing Director of Global Partnerships at Ondo Finance. “Institutions can now trade tokenized equities similarly to other financial instruments.” Each token, issued on blockchains including Ethereum, Solana, and BNB Chain, remains fully backed by its corresponding underlying asset, ensuring a 1:1 peg.
Market Scale and Growth Data
Since its launch in September 2025, the Ondo platform has processed over $13 billion in trading volume and surpassed $700 million in total value locked (TVL), exceeding all other tokenized stock platforms combined. The platform offers institutional-grade pricing and liquidity, with trading hours aligned to traditional markets on a 24/5 schedule.
“Tokenized equities remain in high demand among institutional users,” said Drew Forman, Head of Strategy at Talos. “Our focus is providing a unified interface for digital asset trading.” Exchanges and fintech platforms connected to Talos can now efficiently add tokenized assets without rebuilding backend infrastructure.
Roadmap: Direct API Connection
The partnership will expand with a planned direct API link between Ondo and Talos, streamlining workflows across trading, portfolio management, and risk systems. This next phase aims to further reduce operational overhead for institutions executing tokenized asset orders.
Industry observers note that the Ondo-Talos integration could accelerate the shift of tokenized securities from experimental to mainstream. As global institutional demand for blockchain-based exposure grows, such infrastructure integrations are likely to become industry standard.
