Pharos Network has published its first PROS tokenomics framework and opened a structured public sale ahead of its mainnet launch. The update was released through the project’s official blog and X account on April 20. Attention quickly turned to supply design, unlock timing, and the valuation implied by the sale terms.
1 billion genesis supply with zero staking inflation for six months
According to the official plan, PROS will serve as the native asset of the Pharos chain, covering fees, staking, validator operations, governance, and future RWA-related use cases. The genesis supply is set at 1 billion tokens. Team and investor allocations will be subject to a 12-month cliff followed by 36 months of vesting, while parts of the treasury and incentive pools extend to 48 to 60 months.
The issuance model is phased. For the first six months after launch, staking inflation stays at 0%. From month seven, it moves to 5% annually. That setup keeps early circulating supply tighter and places more weight on how much of the token actually reaches the market at launch.
Public sale covers 0.1% of supply, with distribution starting April 28
The public sale accounts for 0.1% of total PROS supply. The reference token price is $1, with a target raise of $1 million. Buyers can choose between two routes: a fully liquid option on mainnet, or an effective $0.80 entry price tied to a six-month lock. Commitments range from $100 to $50,000.
If demand exceeds supply, allocations will not be handled on a first-come, first-served basis. The sale uses a bottom-up model that gives priority to smaller orders. Pharos has framed that structure as a broader-access approach rather than a speed-driven sale.
The timeline is already set. Registration opened on April 20, commitments begin on April 22, settlement starts on April 25, and token distribution begins on April 28. What is confirmed for now is the sale distribution date. Official materials reviewed in the source do not name any exchange launch, so listing timing remains unconfirmed.
Community allocation and TGE unlocks are drawing scrutiny
Breakdowns widely shared on X put the community and ecosystem allocation at 21%. Those posts said 6% is reserved for an airdrop, with only 1% unlocked at TGE. The official text also states that only a limited portion of supply will circulate at TGE, which helps explain the reaction from parts of the community.
At the public sale reference price, a 1 billion-token genesis supply implies a $1 billion fully diluted valuation before open market trading begins. That figure sits at the center of the debate over whether the sale is structured for fair access, rich pricing, or both at once.
Funding reaches $52 million as testnet metrics stack up
Pharos had previously raised $8 million in seed funding. After a $44 million Series A, total funding now stands at $52 million. The team has also announced that the upcoming mainnet will have Circle support for USDC and CCTP.
On the technical side, the Atlantic Ocean phase of the testnet launched in October 2025. At that stage, the project reported nearly 3 billion transactions, 23 million blocks, and 0.5-second block times. By year-end, testing had expanded to 4.3 billion transactions across more than 209 million wallets, alongside more than 60 live dApps. Pharos also said RPC support came from providers including ZAN and Nirvana. Its roadmap, originally tied to a Q1 2026 target, has since shifted to “Pharos Mainnet Launch Soon.”
