Pi Network has reached a major milestone in its mainnet migration: more than 2.5 million users who were previously blocked due to regional security and compliance checks have now been cleared and automatically migrated. According to an official announcement on X, these users had completed the required Mainnet Checklist and remained active but were temporarily held back. With the latest update, the total number of migrated Pioneers has climbed to 16 million, making Pi Network one of the largest identity-verified blockchain ecosystems globally.

Why Users Were Blocked and What Changed

Additional security rules in certain regions caused the temporary blocks, intended to protect network integrity and ensure compliance. After a technical update, the system resolved these issues and unlocked access for eligible users. Social media quickly filled with screenshots of successful migrations and confirmation messages within the Pi app, signaling relief among the community.

Alongside the unlock, Pi Network revealed that over 700,000 more KYC slots will soon be opened for submission, further strengthening mainnet integrity. Validator rewards are also being carefully tested and are slated for release by the end of March 2026. Meanwhile, palm print authentication is under trial as part of the KYC process—aiming to boost security while respecting user privacy. If successful, this could become a unique identity system in blockchain.

Pi Coin Price and Market Reaction

Following the news, Pi Coin rose approximately 3.3% in 24 hours, trading near $0.17. CoinMarketCap data shows the price rebounding from the $0.17 support level, where selling pressure had pushed momentum indicators into oversold territory. While some buying interest has returned, overall sentiment remains cautious due to upcoming token unlocks.

The short-term technical outlook hinges on the $0.17 level: a hold could fuel a move toward $0.18–$0.19, while a breakdown may drag the price back to $0.16. Price action remains volatile and sensitive to broader market conditions.

Focus on Ecosystem Growth Over Short-Term Price

The Pi Network team has emphasized that user growth and ecosystem strength take priority over short-term price movements. The transition from testnet to mainnet is in its final stage, with secure blocks, AI-powered security checks, and smart contract support (inspired by Stellar and Soroban) being built. Although the path for Pi Coin price is uncertain, the foundation for a larger, more active ecosystem is steadily taking shape.
