Solstice and TensorX unveiled a partnership to finance up to $1 billion in EU sovereign AI infrastructure and launch aiUSX, a yield asset capped at $5 million at launch.

Solstice and TensorX said they will work together on a financing facility with up to $1 billion in capacity to fund AI hardware purchases and data-center expansion across the European Union. The stated goal is to meet rising demand for sovereign compute, with infrastructure built and operated inside Europe.

$1 billion facility targets hardware and data-center buildout

Under the partnership, TensorX will focus on the infrastructure side while Solstice provides the onchain financing layer. TensorX said it owns and operates a fleet of NVIDIA GPUs and delivers AI models from EU data centres with zero data retention, predictable pricing, and full data residency. Executive Chairman Tim Grant said Europe wants AI systems that run on local soil without sending data to someone else’s cloud, and that meeting that demand requires large-scale hardware deployment.

Grant described the planned spending on GPUs and data-center capacity as a first step, adding that purchases are expected to continue if demand keeps rising. TensorX is based in Dublin and currently works with AI startups and enterprises across the EU, with plans to expand into other jurisdictions.

aiUSX opens infrastructure lending to companies holding AI budgets

The companies also announced aiUSX, described as a potential yield asset for businesses that are setting aside capital for AI spending. Solstice said companies often hold cash and stable assets while inference bills keep climbing, leaving that capital idle. aiUSX is designed to place those funds into AI-infrastructure lending that Solstice finances, giving companies access to the same type of deals traditionally funded by large institutions.

At launch, aiUSX will be capped at $5 million. Solstice said the capital remains liquid and redeemable, while the yield generated through the lending exposure can help offset future inference costs. The release also cited USD.ai as a participant that has brought capital to AI hardware across the broader buildout.

Backed by the Deus X Capital ecosystem

Solstice is an onchain settlement and yield protocol within the Deus X Capital ecosystem. The company said its dollar-denominated asset USX and treasury products are built for institutions and businesses seeking liquidity while keeping capital productive. Solstice also disclosed a three-year audited track record and more than $500 million in total value locked.

Deus X Capital CIO Stuart Connolly said sovereign AI is one of the decade’s largest infrastructure buildouts and depends on capital as much as chips. In his description of the structure, TensorX builds the compute layer, Solstice brings the financing, and aiUSX broadens access for companies that want exposure to funding that infrastructure.
