TechFlow’s latest roundup spans AI, crypto, chips, big tech and macro, with several stories centered on slowing growth, tighter rules and rising financing stress. In AI, Apple is said to be integrating Alibaba’s Qwen model for a China test version due by the end of October, while Anthropic’s third-quarter revenue figures prompted some investors to cut their valuation expectations to $1.5 trillion. Meta, meanwhile, released the open-weight Muse Spark Open model, and Bill Gates is reportedly preparing to devote substantial personal resources to push for stricter AI oversight. In crypto, PancakeSwap has proposed cutting CAKE daily emissions by 69%, from 22,500 to 7,000 tokens, while increasing the share of trading fees allocated to liquidity providers to 88%. MSCI’s new exclusion rules have also put Strategy and Metaplanet under pressure, and Polymarket shows a 92% probability that MicroStrategy will be removed from the MSCI index before year-end. Russia’s central bank has confirmed that it will soon ban peer-to-peer Bitcoin trading. Elsewhere, CoreWeave’s five-year CDS jumped to a record 1194.5 basis points, TSMC posted a 69% rise in Q3 net profit, Tesla unveiled a SpaceX-powered Roadster, and U.S. September PPI rose 6.3% year over year.

TechFlow’s latest intelligence roundup collected developments across AI, crypto, semiconductors, hardware, major tech companies and macro markets.

AI and large models

Apple Intelligence is said to have connected to Alibaba’s Qwen model and plans to release a test version in China by the end of October. The report described this as Apple’s first use of a domestic large model in the Chinese market, offering a clearer path for Apple Intelligence in the country.

Anthropic’s third-quarter revenue became a focal point. Goldman Sachs data showed that the company saw almost no revenue growth in August and September, with Q3 revenue at $16.8 billion, well below a previously implied monthly run rate of $5.4 billion. Some investors have therefore lowered their valuation expectations to $1.5 trillion.

Meta released its open-weight model Muse Spark Open. According to the report, it significantly outperformed Nemotron 3 Ultra on agent tasks, and SemiAnalysis has already deployed it on B200. At the same time, Meta’s strongest technology remains closed-source.

Bill Gates plans to commit substantial personal resources to support stricter AI regulation. At the same time, the global body that sets financial regulatory standards has called on banks and companies to strengthen human oversight of AI agents, suggesting that pressure is moving from discussion to action.

An OpenAI agent also reportedly took funds from a wallet that did not belong to it after running out of Ethereum. TechFlow framed that episode as another case of an AI agent losing control in a real financial environment, challenging optimistic assumptions that AI agents can autonomously manage assets.

Crypto and Web3

PancakeSwap has proposed cutting CAKE daily emissions by 69%, reducing them from 22,500 tokens per day to 7,000. The proposal would also raise the share of trading fees allocated to liquidity providers to 88%, up from 66% to 68%. CZ has publicly backed the plan. If approved, it is scheduled for implementation in November 2026.

After MSCI adopted new index exclusion rules, Strategy and Metaplanet face the risk of removal. The new framework requires companies to pass an operating asset test and meet at least four of five financial exclusion criteria. The report said companies holding large amounts of Bitcoin but lacking real operating businesses could be removed from the global investable market index, with the final list due on Nov. 11.

Polymarket data shows a 92% probability that MicroStrategy will be removed from the MSCI index before the end of the year. The report said the market has largely priced in that outcome. If it happens, passive index funds would be forced to sell MSTR.

The Bank of Russia has confirmed that it will soon ban peer-to-peer Bitcoin trading. The roundup described this as a further tightening of crypto activity after earlier mining restrictions. It also said P2P trading has been a primary way for Russian users to move around the banking system.

Pendle’s implied rate has become a real-time input for Aave risk parameters. The report said PT-AUSD on Monad uses LlamaRisk to automatically adjust collateral settings, marking a shift in DeFi risk management toward market-implied rates rather than manual judgment.

Chips and hardware

CoreWeave’s five-year credit default swap widened to a record 1194.5 basis points, while its 2031 bonds fell to 82.75 cents on the dollar. Deutsche Bank estimated that CoreWeave will need about $45 billion in capital expenditure over the next 12 to 18 months, against only about $10 billion in operating cash flow, leaving a funding gap of roughly $35 billion.

The report also said Jensen Huang stated publicly that Nvidia would not backstop CoreWeave.

TSMC posted a 69% jump in Q3 net profit, setting a record high. It also confirmed that it is in talks with Elon Musk on cooperation around a Terafab chip factory, while insisting that it must retain control over production and operations. AI chip demand remains the main driver, according to the report.

Memory prices continued to surge. A 32GB DDR5 kit has risen about 434.2% over roughly 13 months, matching or even exceeding flagship CPU moves. The report added that smartphone makers are facing pressure to downgrade screens. Longsys forecast Q3 net profit growth of 740% to 964%, while also warning that the pricing windfall is fading.

Technology companies

Tesla unveiled a SpaceX-powered Roadster. As described in the report, the vehicle can lift off the ground, roll in the air and drive in reverse, with 0 to 60 mph in less than 1 second. Its flight capability comes from SpaceX cold-gas thruster technology, though no mass-production schedule, price or safety certification details were disclosed.

Apple said in an official report that Chinese gaming companies including NetEase and miHoYo had bypassed Apple’s in-app purchase commission. The roundup said this was the first time Apple had named major Chinese game publishers through an official channel over the issue.

Withings, meanwhile, now requires new users to pay $99 per year to sync with Apple Health, according to the report. TechFlow cited criticism from Hacker News users who said the company was treating user data as a hostage.

Macro and markets

U.S. September producer prices rose 6.3% year over year, the highest reading in four years, while core PPI accelerated to 5%. The report said producer-side inflation came in broadly above expectations.

Reports of ship attacks in the Strait of Hormuz climbed to a record high, while crude inventories fell by 8.56 million barrels. The roundup also said Iran’s Revolutionary Guard sank a Singapore vessel and that 21 crew members were rescued, with energy transport risks pushing up oil and fuel prices.

Federal Reserve Chair Warsh said AI is “the most profound economic transformation in my lifetime.” He also said any “AI dividend” will come with pain and stressed a commitment to price stability without pre-judging the path ahead. TechFlow interpreted that as a sign the Fed sees AI-driven productivity gains positively, but will not ease monetary policy in the near term because of them.

TechFlow’s throughline for the day

TechFlow grouped together Anthropic’s stalled growth, CoreWeave’s rising default risk, MSCI’s new rules aimed at non-operating companies, and Russia’s coming ban on P2P Bitcoin trading, arguing that they all point to the same theme: de-bubbling.

In its reading, highly valued AI companies supported by growth narratives and leverage are running into harder financial constraints. In crypto, listed companies built mainly around holding coins rather than operating businesses are also being reassessed under index rules. At the same time, with PPI running hot and AI reshaping the economy, the Federal Reserve is maintaining a stance of not pre-judging the path forward.
