TRUMP meme coin surged after promotion of an event scheduled for April 25 at Mar-a-Lago, briefly climbing to $4.43 before pulling back to around $3.88. At the time of writing, the token was trading near $4.07, up 14.32% over the past 24 hours.
The move was matched by a sharp increase in market activity. 24-hour trading volume rose above $1.6 billion, while futures open interest climbed by more than 20%. Spot and derivatives desks both saw heavier participation. Even with that rally, TRUMP still sits more than 90% below its all-time high of nearly $44, reached in January 2025.
Event marketing became the immediate trigger
The latest swing was tied to promotion for the Fight Fight Fight conference. The event is set to take place at Mar-a-Lago, and its marketing said the program would include an exclusive gala dinner linked to Trump. That message quickly fueled speculation around the token and pushed trading higher.
There is still uncertainty around Trump’s appearance. The event website states that “Trump may not attend or the event may be canceled altogether.” If the gala does not happen, eligible attendees are reportedly expected to receive exclusive TRUMP NFTs as compensation.
An email from the Fight Fight Fight organization gave a different signal, saying Trump’s attendance had been confirmed and adding that the information would not have appeared on the official token website without confirmation. Those mixed messages leave the event outlook unsettled.
Access rules are tied to token holdings
Entry is directly linked to holding the TRUMP token. Under the published rules, the first 297 holders who connect their wallets to the leaderboard or verify through Robinhood will secure a place at the event.
The top 29 among them will also be eligible for a more exclusive reception with Trump. The project said the final guest list will consider not only token holdings, but also holding duration and certain project merchandise purchases.
Mar-a-Lago draws more crypto-linked gatherings
Mar-a-Lago has appeared more often in crypto-related events. The report notes that earlier this year, World Liberty Financial, founded by members of the Trump family, hosted another crypto event at the resort, adding to its role as a meeting point for digital asset projects and political public figures.
The main figure behind the TRUMP meme coin project is entrepreneur Bill Zanker. Last year, he organized a similar Trump evening for token holders, and that event also lifted the coin’s price for a period. Attendees included industry names such as crypto entrepreneur Justin Sun.
The article also cited blockchain data on Bitcoin wallets. Over the past year, after Trump returned to the political stage, the number of wallets holding more than $1 million in BTC fell by 16%, while wallets with more than $10 million dropped by about 12.5%. Analysts said the largest Bitcoin holders tend to absorb price swings more easily, while smaller large accounts remain more exposed to broad market volatility.
