The U.S. Dollar Index, which tracks the greenback against six major currencies, fell 0.02% on Aug. 4 to close at 99.894, according to Jin10 and cited by ChainCatcher. In the broader currency market, the euro weakened to $1.1514 from $1.1531 in the previous session, while the British pound slipped to $1.3431 from $1.3482. Against other currencies, the dollar strengthened to 0.8101 Swiss francs from 0.8082, rose to 1.4045 Canadian dollars from 1.4019, and advanced to 9.5557 Swedish kronor from 9.5193.
