Variational, a derivatives protocol on Arbitrum, has outlined a three-year product roadmap through comments from founder Lucas Schuermann, according to BlockBeats. The plan sets out a sequence of milestones from 2025 to 2027 and centers on expanding the protocol’s brokerage and institutional trading capabilities on-chain. In 2025, the team aims to complete its initial growth phase and validate what Schuermann described as an Omni-style broker model. The following year, in 2026, Variational plans to roll out real-world asset, or RWA, perpetuals and swaps, with the stated goal of bringing traditional finance liquidity on-chain. In 2027, the protocol expects to launch Variational Pro, a product line intended to cover options, structured products, and other over-the-counter derivatives. Schuermann said that step is designed to bring institutional-grade trading activity onto the blockchain. The roadmap was shared on Oct. 18.
