On Aug. 24, TradingBeats, formerly Hyperinsight, said a whale address beginning with 0xf517 has placed 190 non-reduce-only BTC sell orders between $79,654 and $108,888.
The trader is offering to sell 951.3 BTC with a notional value of about $91.787 million. The weighted average order price is about $96,488. BTC was quoted at $77,351 at the time of the update, putting the posted sell range about 3.0% to 40.8% above spot.
Current BTC position and reversal setup
TradingBeats said the orders are not flagged as reduce-only. That means if executed size goes beyond the whale’s existing long exposure, the position would flip directly into a short.
The address is currently holding a 94.1 BTC long using 40x cross leverage, valued at about $7.277 million, with an average entry price of $77,330.3. That is down from 109.4 BTC previously, indicating the trader has already reduced roughly 15.3 BTC.
Of the 951.3 BTC in sell orders, only around one-tenth would be used to close the current long. The remaining 857.2 BTC would become a new short position. If all of the orders are filled, the theoretical reverse short position would reach about $82.7 million.
At the same time, the address still has a 133.7 BTC buy order resting lower at $74,088, worth about $9.908 million.
Open orders in other tokens
Beyond BTC, the address also has 108 open orders in other tokens with combined notional value of about $8.932 million.
- HYPE: The whale currently holds a long position of 197,800 HYPE worth about $15.44 million, with an average entry of $62.52. It also has a $5 million buy order at $62.2, about 20.2% below the current price.
- LIT: The address has placed 71 sell orders between $3.8081 and $6, planning to add a short position of 362,200 tokens worth about $1.84 million.
- ZEC: The trader has placed 29 sell orders between $890.71 and $999, planning to open about 1,560 tokens in new short exposure worth about $1.484 million.
