BUILD, a meme token on BSC, has seen its market capitalization fall sharply to $5.88 million, according to data cited by Odaily from GMGN. The token was down 72% over the past 24 hours at the time of the update. Earlier, the BNB Chain-based meme project $BUILD had disclosed how it allocates trading-tax revenue. Under that structure, part of the tax is used to buy and accumulate $BNC, while another portion is distributed to token holders in the form of $BNC. The latest drop puts renewed focus on the token’s recent performance and the project’s previously announced tokenomics arrangement.

According to Odaily, BNC's pre-market trading surged over 15%, renewing interest in the BNB Treasury concept. BUILD, a meme project on BNB Chain, detailed its transaction tax allocation: a portion buys and accumulates BNC, while the rest is distributed to holders in BNC.

On September 8, crypto market sectors showed divergence with the AI sector rising 4.29% in 24 hours, followed by Meme up 2.07%. Layer1, PayFi, Layer2, and DeFi sectors all declined. Worldcoin (WLD) surged over 21%, Injective (INJ) bucked the trend with 18% gains. SoSoValue indices ssiAI, ssiDePIN, and ssiMeme rose 7.64%, 2.83%, and 2.18% respectively.

Xiaohongshu’s dots model lab has released dots3-note preview as the first open-source entry in its dots3 family, extending public access to the same model line that previously drew attention after dots-note-3.0 achieved an officially certified perfect 42 at the International Mathematical Olympiad. The newly released model has 280B total parameters, 16B active parameters, a 512K context window, and multimodal understanding across text, vision and speech. Rather than centering the release on math alone, Xiaohongshu positions dots3-note preview around long-horizon, open-ended tasks such as travel planning, wedding preparation, store operations and home design, where goals are fluid and answers are rarely unique. The company also outlined the training and evaluation stack behind the release. That includes TEMPO, short for Test-time-scaled Value Estimation with Macro-step Policy Optimization, a reinforcement learning method built for long trajectories; a Self-Critiquing mechanism used both in training and inference; and two newly open-sourced benchmarks, VibeSearchBench and VibeLifeBench. According to the company, a full dots3-note release is planned in the near term, while the broader dots3 lineup will also include jazz and aria.

Taipei Blockchain Week, an event that has been held in Taiwan for more than a decade, is being rebranded as FUTUREMODE this year. According to information released by the organizer, the event will run from Sept. 4 to Sept. 6, 2026, at Taipei Expo Park’s Pavilion of Dreams and shift beyond its earlier blockchain- and Web3-centered focus to cover AI, digital assets, and broader emerging technology topics. The event is organized by experience design company Onboard, with Google Cloud and the Taiwan Blockchain Enthusiasts Association, or TABEI, listed as co-organizers. Organizers estimate the three-day program will draw more than 10,000 attendees, feature over 150 speakers, and include more than 30 workshops. A separate BUILDMODE hackathon, co-hosted with student computing conference SITCON, is expected to bring in more than 500 developers across six AI-related tracks. FUTUREMODE will also include a digital art exhibition and a music festival. Organizer Tiffany Lai said the future will emerge where technology, culture, and community meet, while the broader Taipei schedule places the event as the final stop in a nine-day, four-event technology run spanning late August to early September.
