AI-linked stock meme tokens slide, with ANTHROPIG and MOO among the hardest hit
AI-linked meme tokens tied to public equities and tokenized long positions posted steep 24-hour losses on Sept. 13, according to GMGN data cited by BlockBeats. Artificial Inu (AI), paired with Nvidia stock, fell 27% and was valued at $247 million. MOO, tied to Micron, dropped 37% to a $18 million market cap. Microduck, also linked to Nvidia, lost 26% and stood at $7.3 million, while FLYBRAIN, paired with Google stock, slipped 23% to $9.6 million. CATGPT dropped 22% to $6.7 million and trades against OPENAIx1L, a tokenized 1x long OpenAI position. The move came after Anthropic CEO Dario Amodei said the industry must slow the pace of improving AI model capabilities, adding that slower progress does not mean stopping training or technical advancement but allowing enough time for alignment and model protection. OpenAI founder Sam Altman said he agreed.
