Cardano developer IOG tells users to stay away from its YouTube channel after suspected hijack
Input Output Group, the development company behind Cardano, warned users not to interact with its YouTube channel after the account began livestreaming what appeared to be an AI-manipulated video of Cardano founder Charles Hoskinson. The stream promoted a crypto giveaway and told viewers they could “double your wealth” by scanning a QR code. According to the report, the livestream presented itself as a town hall for Project Catalyst, Cardano’s decentralized community innovation fund and grant program, and remained live for nearly two hours. In a notice posted on its official X account, the company told users to avoid the channel until further notice and said they should not click any links, send funds, or share personal information in response to the content. Cointelegraph said it had contacted Input Output Group for comment.
