Alibaba Cloud tests Qovest, an AI research tool for individual investors

Alibaba Cloud is internally testing a new AI-powered investment research product called Qovest, according to Dujia as cited by ChainCatcher. The tool is positioned as an AI financial research assistant for professional individual investors and is currently being rolled out in batches to that group. In the first phase, the company is focusing on validating several features tied to A-share screening, Deep Research, ongoing tracking, and the accumulation of research assets. Qovest supports research across companies, industries, themes, and broader markets. After users submit a question, it can help retrieve data, read financial reports and company filings, analyze research notes, and generate reports. It also stores research output in a dedicated workspace so users can keep tracking later changes in the assets they study. Alibaba Cloud has also packaged common fundamental research workflows into standardized modules, including reviewing a single company’s operating trend, comparing the business structure and financial differences of two targets, and breaking down a company’s business model with visual charts and research cards. The product is aimed at self-directed individual investors with independent research habits, though retail users can also use it.
