Unicoin sues Uniswap Labs and asks court to cancel UNI trademark registration

TransparentBusiness Inc., which operates as Unicoin, has filed suit against Universal Navigation Inc., the company doing business as Uniswap Labs, in the US District Court for the Southern District of New York. The complaint asks the court to declare that Unicoin’s UNICOIN mark does not infringe or dilute the UNI, UNISWAP and UNICHAIN marks claimed by Uniswap. It also seeks cancellation of the US trademark registration for UNI. According to the filing, counsel for Uniswap sent three demand letters on June 3, July 17 and Aug. 14, ahead of Unicoin’s Sept. 28 launch date. The letters accused Unicoin of trademark infringement, dilution, cybersquatting and unfair competition. They also demanded that Unicoin stop using UNICOIN and other UNI-formative marks, transfer the unicoin.com and unicoin.org domains, provide an accounting of revenue and profits, and reimburse Uniswap’s legal fees. The complaint separately asks for a declaration that the two domains do not violate the federal Anti-Cybersquatting Consumer Protection Act. Cointelegraph said it had contacted Uniswap for comment. At the time of writing, DeFiLlama ranked Uniswap first among decentralized exchanges by 24-hour volume, at more than $3.9 billion.

MAGNE.AI pushes beyond a Web3 phone into edge AI and agent infrastructure

MAGNE.AI is no longer being framed only as a Web3 smartphone project. Public materials reviewed from RootData, regulatory filings and the company’s own disclosures show a broader buildout across devices, edge AI, identity rails and machine payments. On the hardware side, MAGNE Phone Gen1 is listed at the PVT P2 stage after Pre-EVT and EVT P1, with first-batch manufacturing targeted for the third quarter of 2026. The company has also published FCC-linked materials, a 3D phone structure viewer and staged production updates. On the enterprise side, MAGNE AI BOX is being positioned for private AI and edge-compute deployments, with a Release Gate framework, one local run validation for a Qwen3.6-35B-A3B Q4_K_M artifact, and a Gate 1 plan to build three prototypes for performance, thermal, offline and recovery testing. Agent Pay, meanwhile, has shown a local contract demo and testnet evidence, but end-to-end HTTP 402 flows are still under development and production payments are not open. MAGNE.AI disclosed a $2.64 million strategic follow-on round on Aug. 5, 2026, bringing cumulative public financing to $12.64 million by its own account. Even so, the article argues the key questions now are delivery, prototype validation, public testnet payment proof and whether community participation can convert into actual device users.

NEXST pitches a full-stack entertainment infrastructure built on AI, VR, Web3 and RWA

NEXST is positioning itself as a full-stack Web3 entertainment infrastructure project built around a simple idea: fan activity should not end as one-off consumption, but accumulate into long-term value. In a lengthy profile published by TechFlow, the project’s model is framed around “Fan Continuity,” a system meant to turn interactions between artists and fans into persistent, recorded, and potentially transferable digital rights. The report says NEXST is building across several layers at once. On the experience side, it has launched VR concert products through Xmersive VR LIVE, including content tied to K-pop groups UNIS and KISS OF LIFE. On the creation and engagement side, it is developing SAI, a fan co-creation platform based on ByteDance’s Seedance and Seedream models, along with AI-driven marketing tools and agents. On the asset layer, it is exploring tokenized entertainment rights through an RWA platform covering tickets, merchandise, exclusive content, and even fan participation in projects such as tours or albums. The article also outlines the planned NEXST Chain, the role of the $NXT token with a total supply of 600 million, and a quarterly buyback-and-burn program tied to 20% of revenue. It highlights existing partnerships with monoAI technology, CyberStep Holdings, and Neura, while pointing to upcoming catalysts including the NEXST-Gen Alliance, which is set to receive 10 million $NXT in treasury support.

Phison CEO accuses Longsys of copying technology, says AI segment now makes up 38% of revenue

Phison Electronics CEO K.S. Pua used the company’s Aug. 13 second-quarter earnings call to make two points at once: to publicly accuse Chinese memory module leader Longsys of copying technology, and to argue that investors should stop viewing Phison as only a consumer-focused module company. Pua pointed to Longsys’ recent work with UNISOC on an Edge Device general DRAM offload solution and its HLC+ SPU technology collaboration with AMD, saying he had already confronted Longsys executives earlier this year at China’s FMS event with a blunt remark: 「You are a big company and also an innovative company, so why do you only know how to copy?」 He also pushed back on claims that AMD had chosen Longsys, saying the cooperation was limited to AMD’s China team, while adding that Phison has cooperation with Intel and MediaTek that is still covered by NDA. On operations, Pua said Phison’s newly defined AI Ecosystem Solutions segment accounted for about 38% of second-quarter revenue, up about 68% quarter over quarter. He also said NAND supply, not just pricing, is the bigger problem and could remain tight for many years.

NEXST pitches an AI, RWA and VR stack to rebuild fan economics in entertainment

NEXST is positioning itself as a Web3 entertainment infrastructure project built around AI, virtual reality and real-world assets, with a strategy that reaches beyond one-off VR concerts or simple IP tokenization. The company has recently worked with K-pop acts including UNIS and KISS OF LIFE on Xmersive VR concerts, while also building an AI-powered social creation layer, an RWA ticketing system and an entertainment IP gaming arm. The project says its framework is designed around “Fan Continuity,” a model aimed at turning fragmented fan spending — tickets, merchandise, voting and VIP experiences — into persistent, on-chain rights that can accumulate, unlock perks and circulate across products. That includes tokenized concert tickets, merchandise and VIP access, as well as AI agents that remember user preferences and support ongoing fan interaction. According to the article, NEXST raised a $3 million strategic round earlier this year with participation from Castrum Capital, TBV and others. Its token, NXT, was listed in May on OKX Boost, KuCoin, MEXC and LBank, with an issue price of $0.1 and a reported peak of $0.5098. NEXST also says it is setting up a 10 million NXT treasury to support AI idol content production and broader ecosystem development as it expands in Southeast Asia, Europe and the U.S.

NEXST pushes a product-first entertainment blockchain pitch with Xmersive, K-pop tie-ins and later $NXT launch

NEXST is pitching itself as an entertainment infrastructure project built around AI, virtual reality and Web3, with a rollout sequence that differs from many earlier crypto music ventures. According to the source article, the team launched its VR concert platform Xmersive on the Meta Quest store, signed official collaborations with K-pop girl groups UNIS and KISS OF LIFE, brought in Japan-listed monoAI technology to handle system development for Xmersive and PhotoEX, and only then moved to issue its token, $NXT, in May 2026. The project says it wants to turn one-off performances into assets that fans can hold and keep engaging with, pairing immersive concert viewing with digital photo card collecting, AI-assisted content creation and a planned entertainment RWA layer. The article also places NEXST in the context of a difficult Web3 music market, citing HYBE’s shutdown of its blockchain unit, Royal’s halt in operations and Audius’ steep token decline. On the token side, $NXT was launched on BNB Chain with a total supply of 600 million, listed on OKX Boost, KuCoin, MEXC, LBank and PancakeSwap liquidity, and framed in the source as a utility token tied to content access, platform functions and future assetization across the ecosystem.
