Miller Cole says BTC/XAU ratio has moved back above its 50-week SMA

Miller Cole, a research and content analyst at Bitcoin treasury company The Smarter Web Company, said on X that one Bitcoin currently buys about 18.55 ounces of gold, up from roughly 15.3 ounces a month ago. He said Friday’s price action in Bitcoin pushed the BTC/XAU ratio back above its 50-week simple moving average, which he described as a bullish signal. Cole added that he expects the BTC/XAU ratio to reach a new high during this cycle over the next few years. The comments frame Bitcoin’s recent move in terms of its performance against gold rather than against fiat currencies, with the ratio used as a relative strength gauge between the two assets.

SlowMist CSO 23pds warns of full iOS attack chain targeting wallet users

SlowMist Chief Information Security Officer 23pds said in a post on X that cybercriminal groups have built a complete attack chain against iOS users. According to his description, the process can start when a user clicks a link, leading to the extraction of private keys and seed phrases. When a victim opens a webpage in Safari, the attackers can exploit WebKit/JSC memory corruption to gain JavaScript-layer read and write access, bypass Pointer Authentication Code (PAC) protections to obtain native call capability, break out of the WebContent sandbox, and then escalate privileges in the kernel to gain root access. From there, they can pull data from Keychain and wallet storage. 23pds said affected versions range from iOS 13 to 26.5 and urged iOS users to update as soon as possible.

Bitget CLO letter ties 8th anniversary to reserves, security controls and cross-market compliance

Bitget used its eighth anniversary to outline how the exchange says its responsibilities have expanded alongside its business. In an open letter from its chief legal officer, the company said it has grown from a crypto derivatives venue into what it calls a Universal Exchange, now serving more than 125 million users and expanding across crypto, tokenized stocks, commodities and other global markets. The letter frames that growth around three operating priorities: verifiable transparency, layered security and jurisdiction-specific compliance. Bitget said it has published monthly Proof of Reserves data since December 2022, maintaining at least a 1:1 reserve ratio for user assets and offering Merkle Tree-based verification. In September 2026, it released its 46th consecutive reserve report, showing a total reserve ratio of 135%, with the average ratio staying above 120%. The company also said it expanded the number of assets covered by reserve verification from four to 19 this month. The letter also highlighted a $300 million user Protection Fund launched in 2022, which Bitget said had an average valuation of about $382 million in August 2026. It detailed account-level and backend security tools, a market integrity framework introduced earlier this year, regulatory registrations and approvals across multiple jurisdictions, and a new UEX Security Standard being developed with BlockSec.
