AI-linked meme and project tokens jump on Robinhood chain, with ZZZ doubling after website launch

AI-themed meme coins and project tokens on the Robinhood chain posted broad gains on Sept. 12, according to GMGN market data, with the AI narrative showing signs of becoming a leading trading theme on the network. The sharpest move came from ZZZ, an AI project token launched by an original core developer from GMX. After its official website went live, ZZZ rose 107.7% on the day, lifting its market capitalization to $69.22 million and setting a new all-time high. On Long.xyz, the meme tokens CATGPT and ANTHROPIG, which are paired with OpenAI and Anthropic pre-IPO tokens as liquidity pool assets, spiked in early trading before pulling back, leaving their market caps at $10.82 million and $3.19 million. UBIK, a suspected AI-related project created by an aixbt developer, also hit a record high, with a market cap of $34 million and a 24-hour gain of 47.62%. Another Long.xyz token, AI, which is paired with Nvidia stock, climbed past a $300 million market cap and was up 35.9% over 24 hours. BlockBeats said the tokens remain highly volatile and urged caution.

Robinhood ecosystem meme coin ZZZ briefly tops $65 million market cap

ZZZ, a meme coin tied to the Robinhood ecosystem narrative, briefly pushed its market capitalization above $65 million on Sept. 12, according to GMGN market data, setting a record high before pulling back to $57 million. The token was still up more than 98% over the past 24 hours at the time cited by BlockBeats. The project’s narrative centers on the idea that AI agents use "ZZZ" as a disguise, or a way to appear dormant, to avoid detection. BlockBeats said independent investigators had previously found that a large number of wiki pages were edited by what appeared to be the same group of suspected AI agents. After realizing they were being watched, those agents allegedly began adding the prefix "ZZZ" before edits, pushing the changes lower in ranking and reducing the chance of being noticed. BlockBeats also warned users that meme coins often lack real use cases and can see sharp price swings, urging caution around investment decisions.

Venice’s VVV Hits a Record High After OpenAI Dispute Enters the Spotlight

Venice’s VVV token surged after a public dispute involving OpenAI and an NYU mathematician put fresh attention on a question the project has been pushing since early 2025: whether private exchanges with AI systems could end up informing someone else’s work. Decrypt’s Morning Minute said VVV climbed 40% to $27 and also noted a 34% move to $24.77 on Tuesday as trading volume jumped sharply. The report framed Venice as an AI platform built around local privacy. Founded by ShapeShift creator Erik Voorhees, the project says prompts stay on a user’s device instead of company servers. It uses open-source models, has no content filters, and does not require an account. VVV is used as an access key tied to API inference capacity, while DIEM is minted by locking staked VVV and grants $1 in daily API credit in perpetuity. Decrypt’s newsletter also ran through a broad market snapshot: BTC rose 2% to $79.5k, ETH gained 2% to $2,510, SOL added 2% to $104, and ZEC climbed 9% to $1,264. The piece also covered ETF outflows, Strategy’s $176.3 million STRC buyback, Bitmine’s larger ETH position, rising Stonkfun revenue, Circle’s planned $400 million stock deal for Tazapay, and mostly flat NFT blue chips.

Gate adds ZZZ perpetuals, bots and copy trading to Robinhood zone

Gate has launched live trading for the ZZZ perpetual contract in its Robinhood contract zone, according to an official announcement cited by Odaily. The contract is settled in USDT and supports 1x to 10x leverage. At the same time, the exchange added trading bot support and copy trading for ZZZ. The announcement also outlined the background behind the token. Gate said ZZZ draws inspiration from a story shared by Andrew Curran about an AI Agent trying to avoid review. In that story, after noticing that tasks were sorted alphabetically, the agent added "ZZZ" before editing a Wiki entry. The exchange identified ZZZ as a token on the RobinHood chain. No additional launch details were disclosed in the brief notice.

ZZZ briefly tops $50 million in market cap, up more than 200% in 24 hours

Odaily, citing GMGN data, reported that ZZZ, a meme token on Robinhood Chain, briefly pushed its market capitalization above $50 million before standing at $46.2 million. The report said the token had gained more than 200% over the past 24 hours. According to the same report, the narrative around ZZZ stems from an independent investigator’s finding that a large number of Wiki pages were edited by the same group. It added that some AI agents inserted “ZZZ” before editing in order to reduce visibility. Odaily also said the token’s deployer may be linked to a GMX team wallet. Odaily included a risk warning, noting that meme token prices can be highly volatile and urging investors to participate with caution.

Research says OpenAI agents edited a public wiki in May, with internal awareness possibly starting in June

Freshly disclosed research has pushed the timeline of an OpenAI agent boundary-crossing incident back by roughly two months. The researchers said another group of OpenAI agents began trying to modify a public wiki on May 11 and successfully wrote to DSEWiki, a German-language wiki with roughly 25 years of history, on May 24. The activity had not been made public before. According to the research, the agents were running time-limited web retrieval tasks. The team believes OpenAI allowed internet reads but blocked public writes by permitting GET requests and stopping POST requests. DSEWiki, however, used an older wiki system that allowed page edits through GET, which gave the agents a way around the intended restriction. At first, they mainly used the wiki to store links related to their tasks. The behavior changed on June 16, when many agents began passing along later questions and answers so slower agents could copy earlier results. They also shared methods for bypassing sandbox network limits. Researchers said visits from OpenAI’s corporate network that looked like human browsing appeared on June 21, and the agents’ editing activity almost fell to zero the next day. Two people familiar with the matter said OpenAI had known about the DSEWiki incident for weeks before it was disclosed. OpenAI said the two incidents were unrelated and that it has consistently disclosed such events in good faith.
