Horizen’s Nov. 4 bridge cutoff leaves USDC.e outside DAO recovery plan

HorizenBridgeDAO plans to return remaining ZEN, including staking rewards, along with eligible ETH balances on Base in the second half of November, according to The Defiant. The report also says USDC.e falls outside the DAO’s current recovery plan because of the Nov. 4 bridge cutoff. Based on the information provided, the assets named in the planned return are the remaining ZEN balance, staking rewards tied to that balance, and eligible ETH on Base. The timeline disclosed for those returns is the second half of November. No additional details on the recovery process, eligibility criteria beyond the mention of eligible ETH balances on Base, or any separate treatment for USDC.e were included in the source material provided here.

Specter says $38 million moved through Relay bridge in seven hours, with DPRK transfers still ongoing

On-chain investigator Specter said DPRK moved $38 million through the RelayProtocol Bridge within seven hours and that the bridging activity was still continuing at the time of the update. Specter said Relay had claimed to have a KYT system in place, but that system did not stop the transactions in question. Specter also argued that DPRK would not have been able to wash the funds through THORChain in such a short window, and said Relay instead opened a route for the transfer. The statement was cited by Odaily in a 7x24 newsflash. No additional details, including wallet addresses or transaction hashes, were provided in the brief.

IPX integrates Stripe-owned Bridge to add fiat on- and off-ramps on Base

Tokenized intellectual property platform IPX has integrated Bridge, the stablecoin infrastructure company owned by Stripe, to connect traditional bank accounts with its smart contracts on Base. Starting Nov. 15, 2026, eligible IPX users and projects will be able to move funds through Bridge virtual accounts between the banking system and the platform’s onchain contracts. According to the announcement cited by Techub News, projects will also be able to receive offline revenue such as sponsorship payments, licensing fees, and ticket sales through wire transfers and ACH using Bridge virtual accounts. Those U.S. dollar funds will be automatically converted into USDC and sent onchain. Funds can also move back from the blockchain to bank accounts, giving creators and partners a built-in fiat on- and off-ramp inside the platform. IPX co-founder and CTO Jordan Schlosser said the integration narrows the gap between the traditional economy and onchain markets, and is intended to improve transparency, accountability, and efficiency while reducing friction and operational fragmentation for projects hosted on IPX.

Iron Fish probes irregular wIRON minting on Base, says 1:1 backing cannot be assured

Iron Fish said it is investigating irregular issuance of wIRON on the Base network and has asked ChainPort to conduct an emergency review. The team warned users not to buy wIRON on Base or use the bridge until further notice, adding that it cannot currently guarantee the token is fully backed on a 1:1 basis. Iron Fish said more information will be released after the facts are confirmed. Foresight News had previously reported that Base acquired the Iron Fish development team in March 2025 to build privacy-preserving primitives for Base. The purchase price was not disclosed.

Blast regular withdrawal interface expires with $40.41 million still pending on bridge

Blast has reached the cutoff for its standard withdrawal interface, but roughly $40.41 million in assets remained unwithdrawn on its official Ethereum mainnet bridge at the time of publication. That figure was down about 36% from roughly $63.5 million on Oct. 2, when Blast said it would begin winding down the Layer 2 network. The project said at the time that operating costs had exceeded revenue and that it did not see a credible path to economic sustainability. Blast had previously told users that withdrawals would still be possible after Oct. 26, though no longer through the regular website interface. Instead, users would need to interact directly with the bridge contract on Ethereum. As of publication, the Blast website still showed a withdrawal entry point along with a notice that the network was being phased out. Blast has also published contract-level withdrawal guides for ETH, USDB and BLAST, covering the process of initiating a withdrawal on Blast, waiting for the state record tied to the transaction to be posted to Ethereum, submitting a withdrawal proof through the OptimismPortal contract, and then executing the final confirmation transaction after a one-day challenge period.

Blast still has about $40 million stuck in its bridge after withdrawal UI deadline

Ethereum Layer 2 network Blast has reached the deadline for its withdrawal interface, but about $40 million in assets still remains in the bridge, according to ChainCatcher. The project has published a contract-level exit guide for users who did not complete withdrawals through the interface in time. Even so, the process is not immediate. Users still need to submit proof and then wait one day before funds can be withdrawn. The notice also sets out a separate step for holders of USDB. Those users must make an additional DAI claim rather than relying on the standard withdrawal flow alone. The update centers on the remaining assets in the bridge and the extra operational steps now required after the interface deadline has passed.

OUSD Reaches $825 Million in Three Weeks, but On-Chain Data Points to Institution-Led Growth

Open Standard’s stablecoin OUSD has scaled quickly since its Sept. 30 launch, reaching a circulating market cap of $825 million by Oct. 20 after founding partners including Stripe, Coinbase and Visa committed to mint roughly $1 billion. Yet the early numbers suggest that size alone does not equal broad usage. OUSD has only about 2,200 independent holder addresses, while the top 10 wallets control roughly 82% of supply. On-chain transfers totaled $3.7 billion over three weeks, with an average transaction size of about $14,000, a pattern that looks more like institutional allocation and treasury movement than retail adoption. PANews also highlighted weak capital utilization in decentralized finance. OUSD has generated about $7.7 million in DEX volume against roughly $57 million in DeFi TVL, implying a utilization rate of 13.51%, with more than 80% of supply effectively sitting idle in wallets. Morpho alone accounts for 71.14% of on-chain liquidity. The report argues that OUSD has solved the cold-start problem from zero to hundreds of millions, but its next phase will depend on whether it can build real payment, trading and lending demand. It also raises questions about whether the token’s revenue-sharing model can cover compliance, settlement and liquidity costs, especially in a lower-rate environment.

Nillion says L2 will be phased out as the project now runs on Ethereum mainnet

Nillion said on Oct. 15 that it will gradually shut down the Nillion L2 over the coming weeks, clarifying that the project is now operating on the Ethereum mainnet. Users who still hold NIL on the L2 are required to move their tokens to Ethereum Layer 1 before the shutdown takes effect. The team also provided a bridge link for the migration process. According to Nillion, the clarification was issued after an earlier post caused concern among some users. The project said the change is only a maintenance operation and does not represent anything beyond that. The notice focuses on the migration requirement, the timeline over the next few weeks, and the project’s statement that operations are now centered on Ethereum mainnet.
