BitGo and Core Chain Launch Tokenization Framework for Real-World Assets

BitGo and Core Chain have announced a partnership to launch a tokenization framework for real-world assets (RWA), including physical gold, real estate, and artwork. The collaboration highlights the crucial role of custody in RWA projects, providing legal and custodial support for institutional-grade asset tokenization on blockchain. Core Chain leverages this to enter the institutional RWA market, moving beyond conventional cryptocurrency trading. The tokenization of real-world assets requires addressing complex issues such as custody, valuation, and legal rights. BitGo's involvement brings stronger institutional endorsement to on-chain assets, according to a report from Techub News.

Hyperliquid Launches HIP-3*: Optional Whitelist Mechanism Opens Door for Compliant Institutional Participants

Hyperliquid has announced HIP-3*, an optional deployer configuration feature that introduces a whitelist mechanism for creating permissioned markets. The announcement was made via an API notice on September 3, 2026. The core function allows deployers or sub-deployers to manage on-chain whitelists, setting access permissions for specific markets. HIP-3* is strictly an incremental addition to the existing HIP-3 and is completely optional; deployers can choose to enable it, and existing markets remain unaffected. The initial version of HIP-3* is now live on the testnet, with the specification being a preliminary version that will be adjusted based on community feedback. Hyperliquid emphasized that it remains a neutral infrastructure layer, with the goal of supporting large-scale deployment of financial systems. The feature provides deployers with additional functionality to operate in compliance with applicable regulatory requirements. Consistent with HIP-3, the deployers are independent operators that use Hyperliquid as the on-chain infrastructure layer for their own markets, while retaining control and responsibility. This design allows Hyperliquid to maintain its permissionless core while opening an entry point for institutional participants requiring a compliant framework.

Approximately 221M USDC Transferred from Unknown Wallet to Coinbase

An on-chain monitoring account flagged a transfer of around 221 million USDC from an unknown wallet to Coinbase, continuing a pattern of large stablecoin deposits this year, with amounts often ranging between $200 million and $272 million. Analysts suggest the move could stem from institutional treasury rebalancing, Circle minting and redemption, or market makers front-loading stablecoin positions. Coinbase's deep commercial relationship with USDC issuer Circle positions the exchange as a key hub for institutional stablecoin flows. (CryptoBriefing)
